  • awesome.

  • 1:46 to the end was sex on a hot dog

but phantom regiment's canon warm-up is still the best thing that has ever entered my audial canals

  • whoah man,, your filipino... from what you from on phil? or you just be a drum corp in u.s.?

  • thats like the best cut off i have ever heard a corps do. respect

  • Thank you for a video not riddled with crowd screams. Beautiful work, you guys!

  • 1:46 was like the hardest attack ive ever heard in my life

  • wow thats dope

  • So does bd just use euphs? Or baris/euphs? I read that they all use euphs

  • all euphs.

  • i guess i'm going crazy cuz some look bigger than others

  • conner knows all.

  • @ConnerMello2 Bari/Euphs bro... I'm one of the baris in this vid

  • this year was bari/euph. they used all euphs in 09

  • :52 let the fun begin..... :D

  • is it all slurred?

  • No, it is a mixture of slurs and staccatos.

  • Is this a tribute to FOX News???

  • omg im sorry. my bad. C D Bb Bb *F* . it was late that nite lol thats embarassing. sry victor haha! hope that helps

  • suhWEET!

  • lets go the easy way out...can someone supply us wif eh music sheet of this warm up?? haha

  • Anyone know the last chrods of this progression?

  • Awesome conducting and playing. Just amazing.

  • well maybe i dont have that ability smart ass, maybe thats why im asking if the notes i called are correct, why didnt you think of that?? dang! everytime i hit the c it sounds off

  • C D Bb low Bb G. Its definitely an octave, not a m7 after the first Bb.

  • that was in response to victorlovesmusic

  • As far as chords go, i hear the progression as: I IV bIII bVI I or Bb Eb Db Gb Bb... That with a bunch of passing tones. I didn't include inversion scripts so don't whine.. its 230 AM. This was a response for SuperPSIze. i'm not sure why it won't put my responses underneath who I'm responding to :-/

  • does any one know the melody at 1:13, it the baritone part i belive its C, D, Bb, C, G

  • i hear C D Bb Bb Ab.

  • Does anyone know the chord progression layout?

  • If you buy the "Dynasty of Brass" warmup and exercise book, it'll have all the BD's warmups and chord progressions.

  • you could exercise your ear and try to figure it out yourself.

  • wow. the last 20 seconds i got freakin chills.

  • those r some high notes 4 trumpet!!!!!!!!

  • they have the best warm ups of any DCI group!

  • Once they got past that first attack on the last set of chord progressions that was one of the most amazing sounds i have heard in all of drum corps.

  • man i love the trumpets "solo"

  • and i jizzed in my pants

  • 1:46 I shat and then 1:56 on I shat more. Wow

  • baritones ftw go horn line

  • Comment removed

  • They are marching tubas, but many of us old schoolers still call them contras. The contras used by DCI corps are not convertible , but the mfgrs. make convertible models which are a good choice in a 4/4 size for hs bands because the horns can be used in hs band and in concert / symp. band. Contras are heavy and very hard to march. Last summer I had 2 different kids try out for contra and they were literally in tears trying to hold them but they just could not hold them. Mikey

    DCI instructor

  • HS Marching Band that is.

I wonder of the Close Encounters ref. is a Star of Indiana tribute?

Great job BD, you guys are awesome!

  • Convertible tubas are total BS. They're crappy for both concert and marching uses.

  • They are not, they are a great asset for any hs band on a budget. As a DCI instructor and hs band instructor and adjudicator, I can tell you that convertible tubas sound a whole lot better on the football field than sousaphones do. Liberty University uses convertible tubas, and I think they have made a wise choice.

  • awesome, I wish I'd marched...

  • After all the crescendos it got even louder lol. INSANE!!! Gotta love this horn line.

  • Yup theyre my instructors.

  • Hey, where is this? I swear two of the guys in the audience are my instructors.

  • Pasadena, CA

  • 1:44

  • so... i march cavaliers... and i'm not gonna lie, thats some bad ass shit those guys do. hot damn

  • whoa-what are the instrement with the huge bells? are they like marching tuba (though not suzphones)

i like how they start with trumpet (small bells) then get bigger! goo mellophones!

  • The large ones are Contrabasses

  • thanks for clarifying that the trumpets are the ones with the small bells...i was unclear

  • is this a joke? lol because it made me laugh out loud.

( thats "lol" for those who were unclear)

    :P

  • i hate susies...

  • They are marching tubas

  • I think there called Contra Bases

  • Yes they are, but I just use tuba for ease of reference.

  • i still remember the first time hearing dvils warm up. nothing against cadets 07, because they mightve beenlouder and my cadets fan friend remind me of all the time, but fuckin blue devils. my whole body went cold and i started freaking out. their sounds goesthrough you i swear to god. and i saw this specific warm up, and hearing that punch at the end live makes you reminds you why you watch devs warm up.
