@Vechz I also know a tiny bit about C++ as well, but if you were to make an indie game C++ is generally a pretty poor choice. C++ is a very "heavy" language that is very complex and thus requires more than then average amount of code than would be necessary to create an indie game. C++ is powerful and flexible though which is why a lot of triple A titles tend to use C++ instead of say, Python (even though NASA uses Python)

The main probrem here is actuarry that one tends to use R for L, and the other L for R, rather than both of them swapping each for the other.

This game is awesome! its like a cross between the old Snes game "The secret of mana" and the older Final fantasy 2&3. I say carry this on, it has serious potential. I'd happily pay £10-£20 for this if you ever finished its production.

Didn't know Vechs also worked with RPG Maker, even if I'm not a fan of VX myself. I'd love to see the type of things he's created.

Less sadism than I expected though. The concept is interesting, it reminds me of one RM game I can't remember the name of, with something like 24 characters that you could trade out freely. It took itself more seriously than this, needless to say.

I like it! I tend to prefer a little more plot upfront in RPGs, but I'm guessing that this is going to be more puzzle-oriented, and I'm down with that.

Nitpick: In battle, it'd be good if the enemy attack messages (goblin hits so-and-so for x damage) didn't replace the character status window, so you could always see how your HP/MP is doing. Unless it's a limitation of VX or something?

I'm enjoying it so far... I want it already... simply for the main fact that you can create your own party and are not held back by the game's design in the aspect of "you are stuck with these characters, get over it"

That and you can get the creator of the game in the party as well.

Level 4 in just a few fights.

I can see that enemies deal quite a bit of damage in their turn if left unchecked. Might be nice to see your own character´s health bar. Of course Im the type of guy that prefers the side-battle view where you get to see your characters and the monsters at once. Still, I´d personally mix up the player attack order with the monster attack order.

Either way, the battle screen takes me back to my days of Dragon Warrior III, or was it IV?

God, I'd love to test play this. I love the idea of being able to choose from a huge selection of characters. Do they interact with the plot in unique ways? Do they have their own optional plotlines?

And then I have the other questions. Where does the character art come from? What was this made in?
