  • i all so using master cam 9.1....machine makino....

  • i tired this but blood came out...

  • Great video, horrible music!

  • we meet again mute button!!

  • First, leftovers should be recycled.

Second, there are a lot of mills that have been converted to CNC, not all that hard.

I have an old Bridgeport mill that I converted.

Got the mill for around $200 and the stepper motors are from old computer printers.

The computer that runs things is whatever I am using at the moment.

But there were days of setting it up to get it running.

  • 40 people are failed sculpture artists.

  • I'm gonna cut you... out of aluminum.

  • Amazing machine

  • But the question is....Will it Blend?

  • it was better with the ZPRINT Printer. GAVE 3D PRINTING TO EVERY ONE.:-D

  • Can y get programe of de face please.

    its cool.

    gerard-mariska@home.nl

  • Fantastic video great project.

Could I also get a copy of the iges file please I want to try this on my mini mill.

    blackvege@gmail.com.... cheers

  • Still has nothing on a true sculpter like DaVinci.

  • That turned out much better than i thought it would very cool!

  • I can give you

  • i'd like to see a G-code for this operation

  • .youtube.com/watch?v=Xws1Krzu_

  • T1000!

    Run!

  • jak napiszesz program na to z ręki to będzie ciekawe, a tak to jest chuj a nie frezowanie

  • Interesting. I thought they would have used an EDM for something like this.

  • @WeCamefortheDead -- You'll still need to cut the electrode. I suppose you could cast it in copper using a casting process starting with a silicone off of the face, or an abraded electrode but you'd need a model.

  • Where is the rest of Han????

  • OHHHH... So this is where sliver surfer comes from...

  • I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!

  • Terminator

  • can i get a gcode file of that? email is fire2367@gmail.com

  • any way i can get the g-code in a txt doc? email is andybuhl@yahoo.com thanks

  • Can I have the G-Code please? My e-mail is dcis77@hotmail.com.

    Thank you very much!

  • very nice

can I have pleaseeeessss your mastercam file or your G-code?

    crcobos@hotmail.com

    thank you very much

  • How long did it take from start to finished? Can you email me the G code.

  • send me igs file plz great video

  • amazing

  • 5 axis trunnion

  • milwaukee

  • Please, Can you tell me the model of this machine? Is the machine of 1993?

  • EXCELENTE!.........

  • very nice! im a engineer and im currently i use a makaz vtc-200b with solid cam 2005. ive done some nice bits and peaces over the years but i find the 3D side of the software slow and make many useless moves. how do you find your software? and how long did it take to machine?

    many thanks

  • How long did this take I'm guessing this was speeded up

  • @iseldoff no shit

  • Please can you tell me how this was shot?

  • please send me a program and a list of tool?very nice work you are a genius.flaviaedavide@yahoo.it

  • please send me a program and a list of tool?very nice work you are a genius

  • "Cutting a face using my 15 year old Milltronics CNC Milling machine"

15 year old cam u mean?

  • I am T-1000!!!

  • its so nice.. i like it and i want to learn how to operate it.. :)

  • so what is the cycle time on this project lol? and how many tool changes?

  • katayan20......the machine will mill enything as long as the cutting tool is harder then the work piece..for tatanium you need to use carbide cutting tool of even better high speed steel cutting tool..however 2 -1.5cm is a very thick mask ..the indentation around the eyes would be so high that your vision will be narowed to about 60 degrees insted of the normal 200 degrees plus if there will be no cushoning on the inside a projectile like a rock can still kock you out due to transfer of energy

  • AWESOME...just awesome !

  • sir can i have iges file.. plssss..:D thanks in advance

  • can i use that tool to remove my pimples? lala...

  • extraordinario!

    felicitaciones.

  • And so was born silver surfer

  • hey brother, can that machine cut a titanium? i want to have a titanium mask. actually i am a police officer and it's been a dream for me to have a titanium mask to be use in police operations. i know that a titanium mask could help me avoid getting hit on my face or in my head. perhaps a titanium mask around 2cm or 1.5cm thick.

  • How much does one of those machines cost?

  • i work on a machine UN . Were do i find numroto plus

  • how cool is that?

  • can i get an iges file for this face my imail is fire2367@live.com

  • IRON-MAN part 3 ;)

  • what was that cut out of? glass?

  • can I get an igs file for this face? cpkprecision@yahoo.com

  • Thumbs up if you muted the sound in this video

  • Please, could you send the IGES file in my email??? sergio@rodopar.ind.br

    Tks.

  • can u send me the IGES file. My email is fire2367@live.com

  • Can you send me the IGES file

  • Hi, was wondering if you could send me the IGES file if i send you my email address?

    Thanks

  • This song should be banned from youtube.

  • Can you give me the CNC Program?

  • That was badass. Im curious, if you don't mind sharing, how much did you buy it for originally and howmuch did you sell it for?

  • Can I have the IGES file leehound?

  • wat song is this?

  • what are you building, a Terminator ?

  • @beermonger1 - More like THX 1138... lol

  • Thanks for the IGES,Worked great -I machined in beige poly-prop and he's now in the office on display.

    Mark

    Plastim Ltd

  • I second that or maybe a dxf file would love to machine this!!!! What was your cycle time

  • Any chance of getting an IGES file as well? I would love to machine one.

  • his nose is too big, start again =D

  • how did you come up with the smooth surface? what was your scallop height and stepover? good machining !!!

  • Really nice job any chance u could email me the IGES model as Ive never tryed any 3D milling and just fancy having a go on our XYZ machine !!! What sort of cutter did u use to produce the face ??

  • Needs sunglasses...

  • My lecturer Graham T Smith made a model of his face for machining as part of a method of making a perfect facial mask using only laser scanning technology (so as not to necessitate a patient being subject to a full face mask while the cast set). Perhaps it is his face you've somehow obtained a model of?!

  • did you MAKE the face in mastercam? or just toolpaths?

  • @kowdie12 lol, it would take like five years to manually code a program like that.

  • @Agitpropist i meant like did you draw it up in mastercam or did u use inventor or solidworks

  • Pegale una piña a esa cara!!

  • Damn Dr. Doom

  • very nice

Can i get a drawing from jou

I would like to try on my cnc

I want to try it with plastic

    thanks in advance

    Gerard

  • Very nice machine, very nice video.

  • DOwnload a program called Facegen, take front and side pictures of your face and import them into the program, line up the dots to the correct spots and execute, you then have a 3d model of your face. get the full version (paid or cracked) to be able to export it to a .obj, if you have google sketchup, download the .obj import plugin and import the model, rotate and erase off back of head, draw a flat box under it, export to .stl, open in cam, the cnc machine it

  • THIS SONG SUCKS

  • How did you zero once you changed bits?

  • how many hours did the CNC take to cut this?

  • can i have IGES model of the face. if i give you my email can you send it to me and do you have a hint for me

  • @SuperDessinateur

I can send you the model. What kind of hint are you looking for?

  • @leehound

can u send me the iges file for the face? my email is benny_le87@yahoo.com. thank you.

  • @nancee7e yes ofcourse

  • @leehound Hi! can you please send it to me too? tx!

  • @leehound maybe cause it's his face.

  • @leehound hi. just wanna ask. sorry if this is going to be dumb, but, do you recycle/reuse the leftover metals? if not what do you do with them usually? thanks. o lastly, how much is a machine like this nowadays? can you buy it even if you're not company based? i mean just for your own?

  • @BreakWatcher

An industrial strength milling machine able to mill solid metals are expensive ... 3-axis is maybe $15000 and depends on the size of the milling area too.

A personal "bench top" milling machine can be had for much less money, but quality will vary. If you buy something from China, it will likely not come with software support, and its tolerances will be bad.

Roland MDX-540 or MDX-40 are relatively expensive, but easy to use.

Consider rep-rap for open source milling.

  • @BreakWatcher if you have upwards of 100k laying around sure you could buy one

  • @BreakWatcher CNC milling machines greatly vary in cost, It depends on the application of the machine really. you can expect to easily spend 100k-250k for a brand new CNC milling machine like this. And to answer your question about scrap metal, the chips are usually swept up into a hopper or bin and thrown away. High valued metals like aluminum, bronze, brass, etc are usually swept up and kept in 50 gallon drums and sold for scrap.

  • @BreakWatcher for a hass machine they range from 60000 to like millions, you can buy them for your house or whatever you want, almost all shops will put all waste into barrels and scrap them for cash

  • @BreakWatcher A new cnc machine with 3 axes. X-Y-Z costs about 250.000 dollars... and i think you can buy one for yourself. if you have the right sum of money

  • @BreakWatcher They ALWAYS recycle left over materials. Factories hate waste because it costs them money. If they cant use the scrap part they recycle it. Anyone can buy them if you have a money. You can get one for cheaper but I dont know if it could cut metal.

  • @BreakWatcher mills can run you anywhere from 20 grand to over 100 grand. and most "leftovers" are thrown away

  • @BreakWatcher The metal that is milled off is usually swept up and thrown away. Yes you can buy a machine like this for personal use check out Grizzly machine tools. As for price it depends what you want you could modify a $500 mini mill to be cnc controlled and come out at under $1,00, but a decent size machine will be around $5,000 and a high end model can be $30,000 plus.

  • @BreakWatcher a machine is usually $4000-8000 for a small desktop based machine for home use. yes, you can buy one on your own, just reminding you that they're expensive and unless you are running a metal part making business, it really won't be a good investment.

  • @leehound CAN I PLEASE HAVE A COPY OF THE STEP FILE!!! ITS AWESOME! MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS BENPALMER24@YAHOO.COM!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE A LEGEND!

  • can i get the image so i can program it with mastercam do you have hints for me please

  • Can you give me the CNC Program?

  • @LuiSCibriaN

All I have is the IGES model of the face. Just give me your email and I will send it.

  • @leehound Mi email: ltcl841030@hotmail.com, Thanks you.

  • @leehound COULD YOU PLEASE SEND ME THE IGES FILE .....IT WILL BE VERY HELPFUL FOR ME ILL GIVE YOU MY E MAIL ID

  • kskumarvrs@yahoo.co.in

  • :O cool

  • how did you sculpt the face then imported it into mastercam?

  • @Kinglevel

I did not model the face, I just cut an existing IGES model. I do not know how or who made it.

  • What song is playing?

  • programmed with pc i think? i dont see enybody programming this with clartext (haidenhain) nice work!

  • cool!!!! but the question is WILL IT BLEND!

  • ZigZag and then Profiling?

  • @HeadShot360IN

    Surface Rough

Surface Parallel at 45 degrees, then another Surface Parellel 90 degrees to the first.

  • hey an do you have the mastercam file for that cause if you do that would be really cool!!!

  • this isn't really how your supposed to get captain solo out... didn't you try the control panel? And what happened to the rest of his body?

  • Lol I thought you cut your face not making one! Nice still!

  • carbite tool? also, what is the sample material made out of? if ya dont mind me asking mate

  • @Jagethemage

I use "carbide" end mills. The material is 7075 aluminum.

  • @leehound ah, very very cool! that looks amazing for standard alloy! huge respect to the programmer

  • holy crap! looks like T1000

  • that's crazy! how many lines of code did it take to do that?

  • that's crazy as hell! how many lines of code did it take to do that? i'm sure it's in the thousands

  • can u tell witch software did you use for modeling??

    is it powerSHAPE

n proggeraming also .. in power MILL

  • But will it blend?

  • Guess its AL, isn't it?

  • Great! how long did that cycle last?

  • how long did it take to write this program ? ^^

  • Can i get a copy of the solid model? :D

  • would that face be modeled on a computer or would it be scanned in somehow?

  • That was pretty cool

  • do you use micro lube?

  • 3 axis?

  • @iceskull11 YES

  • Very good........

  • Whats the real Time to Cutting this Face ???

  • that is awesome. i didn't know the CNC could polish , i was expecting that part to be done by hand . grEAT!

  • how long did you need to wrote it?

  • how much time u spend in it? :D

  • aaaaaaaa! this music sounds like an indians music! i dont like this music its what kids put up on their channel and say they made it i hate when they do that.

  • sick

  • omg it's the silver surfer

  • from ware you get the file

  • that must have been one expensive piece of stock metal

  • The silver surfer is born.

  • ohh great.. is that DMG-Deckel Maho DMU 60 P

and what is NC program in . Heidenhain or Sinumerik 810?.-please tell me

  • For a part like that, would casting not be a better idea? genuine question, not a mickey take.

  • What material are you machining? Sorry, I'm a rookie!

  • would you be willing to share your program? I would love to run it for fun and see how it does. Also what was the run time? let me know. email is inthephog@gmail.com

  • would you be willing to share your program? I would love to run it for fun and see how it does. Also what was the run time? let me know. email is inthephog@gmail.com thanks and great job. BTW i do have mastercam so i shouldnt have a problem with the files. Id even be fine with just the G code file in a text doc.

  • v impressive.... how long to run in real time?

  • lol i'll try to do that but without a machine, just hold onto the dremel and swing my arms around in the same pattern WHEEE!!!

  • @HeadShot360IN good luck

  • what cam did you use?

  • @hcolyle Mastercam

  • @leehound what dose 3 axis mean

  • @Homemadestuff101 horizontally, perpendicular, vertikal. and 5 axis is 3D cutting. there u can move the table too

  • @Homemadestuff101

saying the machine has three axis is refering to the number of directions the machine can move. in this case, the pallet(the part the material being cut is clamped into) has the x and y axis, these control where the part is getting cut, and the spindle(more or less the part doing the cutting) is controlling the z axis, or the depth of the cut

  • I just love those machines...do you know how much the 5 axis ones are?

  • nice!

I was hoping it would blink at the end ;)

  • I want this program. lol

  • What software did you use
