David Gilmour and Roger Waters were fucking geniuses and have created some of the best albums of all TIME but Syd was so...brilliant and also a genius in a different way. I am am a Pink Floyd fan therefore I LOVE PINK FLOYD and Pink Floyd was everyone together making amazing music

Well as in response to PoireauMan68's comment. Richard he did a lot. he even lived with Syd for a while in the late 60s, he was a very sweet guy so can't say anything bad about him, he definitely was not stuck up can't you tell that in the interviews?
Roger and Syd wrote completely different styles. Roger being more political . Syd was all over the place, from love songs to fairy tales. Syd's post Floyd work is amazing....Late night, Opel, Octopus Ride, Here I go...just to mention a few. In my opinion much better than Floyd's work right after Syd left!

Animals is indeed great and it was largely Roger's vision but David contributed heavily to "Dogs" and played some great bass throughout the album. Nick's signature style was always important and although Rick had less input than previous albums he put in some brilliant keyboarding...especially at the beginning of "Sheep"
I don't know date or location for this but I have 80s and 90s radio interview archives, one full one with Roger Waters on two audio cassettes, from ROCKLINE interview for Amused to Death. There is also some interesting things said that I always remember as far as quotes. One time in USA broadcast he uttered "F**K all" in a brash statement about political nonsense at the time and conversations in that realm, he barely caught himself to censor it!

Pink Floyd was 100% drug free after Syd left. Even when he was there, the only smoked pot and took acid a few times. If you don't believe me, you can go watch and read other interviews. You retarded stoners just want to think that they smoked pot.

I have an interview with pink floyd in about 1971, they are passing round a joint and discussing the use of drugs. Rick says he smokes pot not to create better music but for enjoyment and also says he could never perform on drugs as it is too difficult. so maybe not quite 100% drug free, but nearly.

no its not, but they did, and you have to wonder then, what would the music have been like without them being high. Im not saying its right but i wouldnt want them to have done it any other way. but think about it, even the best bands today still smoke weed a fair amount. The mars volta, incubus etc. its just a fact.
