  • You should make a Toussaint highlight vid since he is the first RB over 1,000 yards since the great Mike Hart go Blue!

  • @welkernas11 i'm not saying that it's not good to have a speed game. but, in this offense, they don't run a lot of four or five wide receiver sets. a lot of the routes over the middle of the field that would have been run by the slot guys the last couple of years, will be taken up by increased use of tight ends. they will use guys like Odoms and Gallon cuz that's what they have to work with, but those guys aren't suited for outside routes cuz of their lack of height. smith will be the speed

  • @welkernas11 i think the coaching staff gets that. but let's be honest, Michigan has had some pretty damn good running backs over the years and most of them weren't really all that speedy. look no further than Mike Hart. not really a very fast guy, but nobody brought him down alone, so he picked up tons of yards cuz it took half the team to tackle him. they'll use the small fast guys cuz they're using a hybrid offense to suit D'Rob's skills. but down the road, they'll recruit taller wideouts

  • @welkernas11 first off, everyone you mentioned is a receiver. this video is about RB's, so idk how you got to this conclusion. these guys are all slot receivers (although with Stonum redshirting this year, they'll prolly move Roundtree to wideout) and the new offense uses more TE's and three wideout sets than using slot guys. Odoms is solid. Roundtree is probably the best receiver on the team. Gallon can't field punts so who knows if he can contribute yet. fast has its place, but so does power

  • dont know it and doubt we'll hear it this year. only one player on that team and thats drob

  • two words... Michael Cox. if you dont know it now, you will

  • If Mike Shaw is healthy hes our guy. Powe, speed, vision.

  • Whats crazy is since the 90's, Michigan has had an unbroken line of very good to great running backs, that is of course until RichRod got here. Wheatley, Biakabutuka, A-Train, Perry, Hart. Hopefully one of these guys will break out this season and assert themselves as the next great Michigan back.

  • @GoongalaGoongala there were good backs. minor, brown, shaw..the 3 best were all injury prone though. not to mention smith tore his acl 2 osu games ago and has never shown the same shiftyness...im not defending richrod but it was not his fault

  • @cmoney7463 it takes a whole year to fully recover from major ACL surgery. Smith only had six months before the next season started. now that he's had the extra time with a full offseason, i imagine we'll see him closer to what he was his freshman year this season. however, we'll be seeing him in a different role this year. 3rd down back cuz he's the best blocker of the RB's and has the best hands and ability to hurt the opposing team as a receiving threat.

  • @wingsfan977 i dont want to start a war here but shaw has been the best blocker and the best receiver out of the backfield...and why would you want a 5 foot 6 inch smith as a 3rd down back. put hopkins in on 3rd downs and let him pound it right up the middle for first downs

  • @cmoney7463 Smith had nearly double Shaw's receiving yardage last season, on only 5 more catches than Shaw. plus the coaching staff is saying that he's the best blocker out of all the RB's. he doesn't miss his assignments and picks up blitzes better than any of the rest. the term "3rd down back" doesn't refer to a short yardage specialist anymore. 3rd down guys in today's game have to be able to create opportunities to convert 3rd and long situations...

  • @cmoney7463 ...and smith gives them that cuz he can block very well (yes, he's small, but he's got more power than you think. and his blocking technique is best among the RB's) and he's elusive enough to turn a little screen pass into enough yardage to convert a first down. again, this isn't just my opinion. i spend a fair amount of time on blogsites like mgoblog, touchthebanner, and maizenbrew, and the general consensus is that Smith will be the guy on 3rd downs. not trying to fight either.

  • Stephen Hopkins should be the power fullback and Michael Shaw should be the everydown halfback

  • thanks man, it was only my second cut up ive ever made, i think next one i make will turn out very well if i get the time lol, improvement from first one to this one was immense

  • I like this. very good, but the picture lags. other than that it's put together really well.

  • thanks

  • Big Improvement
