  • For whatever this is worth b/c this is an old question.

@kellyfortune I think what he meant was you could save money on the commissions if you wait for the price to come to you, rather than buying at the ask. You can disguise the amt of shares on Arca or hide the bid on Island

I'm not that familiar with the Lightspeed platform, I tried it yrs ago but had connectivity issues, then switched to Instaquote but then I'm tired of paying platform fees, I'm thinking of going back to Lightspeed

  • I use a formula a kid can use on a calculator, I don't short it, I don't long it. I buy on day one and sell on day two, worst performer gave me +22%. ohh the tax man cometh!!!!

  • @donkeyalane LOL

  • Why would you trade a stock that is trading 16.50 X 16.75 ......I mean if its in high demand then thats one thing (news hits,etc)....But if your just day trading that, than good luck.....Thats a nastyy spread...I usually do not trade stocks that have a spread worse than 4 pennies....But nonetheless, the guy gives good advice... (btw I am a lightspeed client)

  • You have an excellent way of simplifying the market and articulating the psyche of a successful professional trader. I really enjoy your videos, thatnks for taking the time to post them.

  • I am trying the platform. It looks great for me

  • Could you teach me how to do it. I am trying the platform now. I can't figure out how it can be done.

  • @cywongdigi1984 Did you ever work it out? I also just dont really 'get it'. If a stock is 22.50/22.55, do you put a limit buy in at 22.51 and a limit sell in at 22.54 and that's it? s that capturing the spread? It cant be, can it? That would just be too easy and free money. If you are doing it now, can you explain to better to me in a message maybe?? cheers

  • Couldn't you wait 2:96 to drink?

  • do you offer trainning? I would like to becme a daytrader live in ny

  • After watching 100 videos regarding trading this is the first one I found really useful.

  • If someone is trying to sell it to you on the BID you have to ask yourself, do I really want this stock?

  • im max, first of all..i wud lik to thank u...ur vds r very nice...wher can i get to see ur full day trading advice vdos? im a new day trader n lost a good amount of money;) i'd lik to learn more things..hope u ll help me out..;)

  • Not really..A CFA is more around Financial Anlaysis and not the technical analysis that active traders in equities and futures use.

  • Could you guide me though how it can be done. I am trying the platform now. I got no clue how it can be done. Thanks.

  • i am 24 yrs old thinking about getting into futures. do you think obtaining a CFA would help me break into the industry of futures.

  • i seriously recommend NOT geting into futures.strictly for professionals only. options on the other hand allow you to 'piggy back' mega trends which are caused by huge institutions pumping money into stocks creating mega trends, the obvious concern is finding which companies will undergo the megatrends. i myself am a self made millionaire , i made half of my fortune trading stocks then i realised that that the big bucks were in option trading- i am currently buying up property as prices r so low

  • what does buying properties have to do with not buying futures? Talk about self promotion

  • Don't do Futures.......Do equity options

Start by buying 1 contract (=100 shares) 2-3 months out

not in the current month . Buy options in good companies with low to no debt and have good cash.....You will do much better than futures......
