@Receiverheavy Ten Years Gone, Rain song. Both from Led Zep. Both are a bit more powerful (drums) and climax but very quiet and relaxing too.

Another Band I really liked it's ballads is Eagles. Begin with 2nd side of Hotel Cal. "Pretty maids in a row" and "The Last resort" (this one is great). "I can't tell you why" on their album The rong run... Desperado, peaceful easy feeling, Hollywood Waltz.

SADLY, they've become too greedy and took down all of their videos posted on YT :(

What did Blackmore Do? Well...similar thing that happened when Dio went to Black Sabbath...he decided to sing the material in his own manner and means and inevitably changed the band's dynamic . This isn't me supposing into the situation, I stil have the 'Heaven and Hell' tour programme from 1981, where Dio said he'd no intention of maintaining old microphone regimes. FWIW I saw Rainbow the year before (at the same venue in Cardiff, featuring Graham Bonnet) and they were superb.
