I am in the process of getting rid of things. All this stuff that I have, that I never use - I feel like it keeps me from staying in touch with my true self. And each time I look at something I got when I was younger, it keeps on reminding me of things I feel should stay in the past. So yeah.. I wanna stay in the now.. :)) As you said "I enjoyed it while it was the right time for me to enjoy it"! Well said ^^
@Rosesinthewoods Ahhh, yes! And thank you! It is so freeing! The identity becomes so much more flexible. It has allowed me to transform into someone I'm happier being at so much faster of a pace! You'll love it! ^♥^
Yo, my wife and I are about yalls age, and we live on hilton head island off the coast of SC now, but were selling everything we own and moving to hawaii in february, to Hilo, your video is basically exactly how we feel. Uhm, hows that working out for yall?? Please respond to this post whenever you can, im dying to know how this works out for yall
@foxxyloxy24 Hahahaha. We started going crazy without our own means of transportation after a couple of weeks, and Kona didn't have a lot of work that they were willing to give newcomers that paid enough to get a car as soon as we'd have liked. I'm not sure how Hilo is because we never really made it over there, though. So, my take on things is... if you have plenty of money or a plan for an income there, I foresee clear skies, my friend. ^-^ It truly is a magical place.
Congrats on taking that big step and choosing freedom. I plan on going woofing someday too. I'd probaly stay somewhat close to where I live though. And what Lainyy said about making a video log would be cool and helpful to alot of people deciding if this is right for them. Good luck. :)
I totally relate to everything in this video - I really want to go WWOOFing too! If you can, I would so appreciate a video log of your journey in Hawaii. Have fun being free :)
I'd say that the ideal situation would be to earn money from doing the things you truly love to do!
I used to be quite frustrated with the "monetary system" as well, and I guess I still am a bit, but now I kind of can see ways in which I could actually earn a good amount of money by just doing the things that make me happy.
@MartinJ444 Yeah. I've given that a try for about six months, and feel I could use a fresh outlook. I'm just not interested in money, and I'm not goal-oriented. I like to DO things, but I don't care if I'm FINISHING things. If I stop enjoying what I'm doing, I'm going to switch to something I like better. For now, I'd rather just live in the moment and not give a fuck about whether it makes me money or not.
