  • The WWE was a soap opera for teenagers

  • I remembered around this time when I still lived in Detroit they were promoting Sid & Flair against Hogan and Savage and billed it as the Mega Powers Reunite One Night Only.

  • there was another 2vs2 of these guys except msg

  • Death. Taxes. HULKAMANIA. Three things that will always be around.

  • I might be wrong but I believe this was Hogan's last MSG appearance during his 1st WWF run

  • Is It just me or did they model Brock Samson from the Venture Brothers as a shameless copy of Sid Justice?

  • these guys suck at wrestling :D

  • @shiringham and you suck at life.

  • Not having Hogan and Flair wrestle at a pay-per view was one of the biggest blunders Vince ever made

  • Hogan>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>flair

  • Roddy Piper in for a Pro Wrestling beating

  • HOGAN = GOD

  • I kinda missed that but what did hogan hit flair with before the pin?

  • Sid in my opinion, had the perfect body.

  • @abc1000001 I wounder what Mr. Pefect would had said to that lol

  • @TheMashwatcher585 Good one.

  • Sid is such a bad performer, the double ax hammer to Hot Rod's Gut at 1:04 and the chair shot at 1:51 is terrible, I don't know how anybody believed this stuff. Flair by far out performs all of these guys, with out Flair it's a miserable match. I think Hogan and Piper do a combined 4 or 5 wrestling moves the whole match....?

  • Three legends and one goofball. The other three looked sharp while Sid couldn't even sell it well. He's in there throwning popcorn stuff, not even looking like he's trying to make a good show for the crowd! He was so sloppy in this. I guess there is a reason why he didn't last too long in the WWE.

  • Matches like these are the reason my parents allowed my brother and me to stay up late on Saturday Nights to watch WWF Main Event back in the day. They loved the action and storylines as much as the kids did!!

  • one of the best match i ve seen

  • Piper is more entertaining than Hogan. Too bad he never was given the chance to be the heavy weight champion.

  • hogan gets the win with the finisher he usually only uses in Japan... interesting.

  • the world champ got pinned with a clothesline?

  • LEG WASNT UP FOR A 3 COUNT!!!!!!!

  • AXE BOMBA!!! 1-2-3!

  • hulkamania forever!

  • one of the handful of Hogan matches that he doesnt use his leg drop to win the match. Seen this many times. But I wonder how many house matches they had together b4 Wrestlemainia 8 anyway.

  • Hogan is the man

  • Man there is something really funny about 6:45 when Hogan gets tossed out of the ring. I don't know what it is, but he completely ignored Sid after that and suddenly looked over at Harvey. LMAO!

  • Hogan didn't beat Flair for the title in this match...it was a tag bout, the title was not on the line...

  • shut up boytoy

  • go suck one and go back to lickin cena's right butt cheek while your at it.

  • crybaby!

  • loser

  • Hogan wins with his Japan finisher... pretty cool

  • @littlekeed AXE Bomber

  • It's a shame we didn't get to see Hogan vs. Flair at WM8. That was really our last chance to see the two in their primes & with the pressure of performing on the big stage of WrestleMania & The W.W.F. When they met in WCW almost two and a half years later they didn't seem to care, and Bischoff had Hogan squash Flair every time. At WrestleMania it would have been different. It would have been magic!

  • i actually think that their first match in wcw at bash at the beach 94 was excellent, but after that you are right it was all politics. the flair/savage match at mania 8 was awful, and i am a savage fan but savage did not perform well, only flair did. damn i hated saying that

  • yeah it is really sad how they had flair lose to hogan every single time.hogan should have never beat flair for the title in one go.if they had flair cheat and just barely escape.imagine the build up for the next match.

  • I agree my fellow natureboy. lol.

  • i agree I thought the hogan/justice fight was crap

  • @mikebryson nah, Hogan would have done his usual politics to beat Flair then too. He was a master of no selling anyone and being a mark. Didn't matter if it was WWF or WCW

  • @mikebryson Rumour was that Vince wanted Hogan to lose cleanly to Ric Flair, which was one of the reasons for the change of main event, was wierd really because Savage I wouldn't have said was one of the front runners for the title as that time

  • @mikebryson Truthfully, I was pretty happy it was Savage/Flair. Hogan matches tend to bore me.

  • @mikebryson I basically agree with that statement. It would have been more credible and had more merit as a main event at WM than at Bash at the Beach or some b.s. ppv from WCW. They should have done it but I don't think either guy was really willing to lose to the other due to the fact that up until that time, they were considered the biggest names and the best in the world and even of all time.

Like you said tho, if they had come to a compromise, it would have been huge.

  • @mikebryson With a build-up starting in late 91 going into WM 8, the WWE would have made it huge simply because they were so good at story building especially for Wrestlemania plots. Ya know, before there were 20 ppvs per year. King of the Ring started the next year and then the plague of ppvs began one after the other watering down everything.

  • gotta love bobby heenan on commentary

  • heenan was better then ventriloquist jim ross and pervery lawler will EVER be
