what was the Sudoku supposed to prove there are plenty of programs that do that? should of had it factored a product of two numbers selected by the someone in the crowd
I think this instant information travel (or no travel) has something to do with quantum entanglement. So with a quantum computer would we get instant computations?
well just because a 2 or 3 does exist that doesnt mean that 1 and 0 dont exist. actually i have only heard of 1 and 0 qubits. but they can be both a 1 and a 0 at the same time.

this will make a lot of jobs obsolite in the nxt century, i guess we'll have to be retrained in things it cant do, until it starts designing robot bodies for itself, then were really screwed. at least we'll have awesome computer games to play for a while until they kill us all.
analog computers operates be measuring continuous physical or electrical magnitudes such as pressure temperature, current or shaft rotation thats why hybrid computers is most advance than among others because it is a combination of the desirable qualities of the analog and digital computers..........
Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be a quantum computer at all, and certainly not a proof of the physical realization of one. Everything they showed was completely possible to accomplish using a classical computer.
The actual implementation of a quantum computer is a long way away. Currently, the only quantum algorithms which have been demonstrated have been performed for very special cases using laser light and atoms.
hurry up i want my pc games work with out lag lol

Dwave is based in British Columbia ,Canada.
They did this demo distantly, connected to the quantum computer. THis computer is controlled by a classic computer(dependant)
This automn, they are supposed to launch a 1000 qubits Quantum computer, the human brain is near 100 qubits, watch out

this isn't a quantum computer

yeah, I dont get the presentation. From what Ive heard, actual usable quantum Computers are like 20 years away at least.

It isn't a quantum computer because quantum computers don't use 1s and 0s, and thats what I saw on the screen.
There is 2 or 3 quantums computers in existence and the people who have built them don't even know or understand them yet.
I never even heard of d-wave before.
But the fact quantum computers produce no heat is true, and as you can imagine, thats kind of confusing.

I can't wait until they go commercial. With NASA admitting to building their machine (under contract) I think it could have a lot of potential.
