I don't know who Chris Gorham is and Charmed isn't my favorite show, but I definitely support Human and Civil Rights Worldwide, especially Iran. Respect Ms. Milano's choice to support them as well.
I'm so overwhelmed by all these amazing people supporting the movement. It shows when basic human rights are involved the world speaks with one voice. Thank you Alyssa and Chris. So many people around the world ask how they can help. This is how. Bless you both.
RynoScott Saʿdī (1184 1283/1291?), is one of Iran's most famous and great poets. He travelled widely through the Middle East and to this day his grave like that of all our famous poets is a shrine to Iranians. The poem below is one of his most famous, it is a shame that in his own native country human life is so worthless at the present time. He has two major works the Bustan (the orchard) and the Gulestan (the rose garden)
Well, as a singer/ songwriter who has always had a deep love for poets/ lyrical verse, I'm embarrassed that I've never heard of him. I learned about many poets both in school and since but, unfortunately, that just goes to show the cultural chasm that exists between East/ West that only fans the flames of fear & hate. I'm going to do what I can to combat ignorance. Educate myself. Thanks again for the post. Blessings & Peace
Saadi is on of the biggest Persian poets along side Hafez, Rumi and Khayam. He has written a lot of work. You can find more about him on Wikipedia (although is not 100% accurate). And if you want more of his work just search him on google. This above piece is one of his famous quotes from one of his books.
Thank you every little human effort helps. Please don't forget these lovely people. They are dying everyday and no one hears about them. They get lost in bureacracy and lies. They are fighting everyday and god don't let them go not noticed. let the world hear their voice for a free Iran.
I admire Alyssa SO MUCH. Chris too!

I think Saadi said it best:
"Human beings are members of a whole,
In creation of one essence and soul.
If one member is afflickted with pain,
Other members uneasy will remain.
If you have no sympathy for human pain,
The name of human you cannot retain." -Saadi

Forgive my ignorance but,
who is Saadi?
This is one of the best pieces of poetry I've ever read and I would love to use it
in a song.
Is it part of a larger piece?
Thanx for posting it.
Blessings & Peace
