If some of you actually read up, Ridley has regenerative capabilities. It takes time, but unless you completely destroy him, he won't die. Metroid-Super metroid, and ever game chronologically between, it is the same Ridley. You kill him in Super Metroid, they clone him in Other M, and the clone remains get sent to the research facility for Metroid Fusion, where the X-parasite absorbs his form and becomes him.
As of this moment, maybe not in the future, Ridley is dead chronologically.
Ridley is so fucking badass. he was a FUCKING BITCH to kill since he wouldn't stop flying and all but has one epic theme. my guess is that he eats too many 1-up mushrooms after he gets beaten
I think all these debates are silly. Every Ridley is Ridley, just like every Ganon is Ganon and every Bowser is Bowser. Death doesn't hold Ridley back.
Something else that supports the idea of Super Metroid Ridley being a clone is: There is absolutely nothing physically wrong with that Ridley. No battle scars, no metal plates, no explosion wounds. It's just...Ridley. Then, in Other M, we all know he is a clone. He is then turned to stone by the Queen Metroid and that same stone statue gets cloned by the X, creating the Ridley Parasite X.
@finalEpsilon92 Uh, no. The reason his physical appearance changed from the cybernetic enhancements to normal skin may be an effect of the Phazon in Ridley's body. In between MP3 and Super Metroid, the Phazon must have somehow regrown his original skin over his enhancements. The Ridley in Metroid: Other M is the clone, because Ridley exploded back in Super Metroid, and particles of his DNA ended up on Samus's suit, along with the DNA of the baby Metroid.
(In addition to my previous comment). So when the scientists on the Bottle Ship go on to make bioweapons out of cloned Metroids made by the Baby's DNA, they also, unknowingly, made a clone of Ridley. When the Ridley clone was created, it turned up as the Little Birdie, and the Federation researchers, unaware that this was Ridley, simply made him a pet and ignored him. As the game went on, he eventually shed his skin to turn back to his adult form
(Final part of my long comment). Later on, the Ridley clone is found dying due to the Metroid Queen draining the life from his body. Sometime later, the Federation takes Ridley's remains to the BSL to be studied, and they have him frozen to keep him from degrading or reviving. Eventually, an X-Parasite gets ahold of Ridley's DNA and turns itself into Neo Ridley. Now idk whether the Ridley clone is truly dead, or if he returns again in the next Metroid. Only time will tell Ridley's fate for sure.
@AntiTroll1000 Actually look it up. Super Metroid Ridley is not the original Ridley while Metroid (Zero Mission) and Meta Ridley (who ultimately becomes Omega Ridley) is. Omega Ridley...you WATCH him explode. There is no Phazon Fusion or anything. He exploded in a burst of Phazon.
@finalEpsilon92 Well in MP3, they don't show him physically exploding. I got all of that information from the Metroid Wiki, and what it says for sure is that the Phazon may have simply caused Ridley's old skin to grow over his armor, but Nintendo wouldn't let you see that, and Ridley (unseen as I said before) escaped before Samus destroyed the Leviathan Seed. That's what happened before his first death in Super Metroid, and of course the clone is in Other M and Fusion.
Oh and as for after Fusion when the clone got infected and killed by the X? It's truly unknown what's going to happen after Fusion to Ridley. The Federation, showing signs of corruption within around the time of Other M and Fusion, may just likely create another Ridley clone. Idk, so don't argue with me. Blame the Metroid Wiki.
@finalEpsilon92 Don't be so sure, it shows him "exploding" but, while he still has a form, the camera changes to Samus. The explosion may have simply injured Ridley to the point that it knocked a crapload of phazon out of his system and he got away while the camera was honing in on Samus getting further corrupted. Supporting this is that the kill counter doesn't go up after the fight.
@finalEpsilon92 Nope, Super Metroid Ridley is the same individual that has appeared since the first game. Meaning Super Metroid Ridley is the same from Metroid Prime 1 and 3.
(read below first) After Meta Ridley falls down that shaft after the epic battle with Samus on Norion, once again, you don't see him die. Now, on the Pirate Homeworld (Utragia) the boss is Omega Ridley. It is pretty much Meta Ridley infused with massive amounts of Phazon. Now, after Omega Ridley's defeat, you watch him actually blow up and die. From then on, chronologically, every time you see Ridley, it's a clone. That's what I believe.
I believe Omega Ridley is the REAL Ridley. The Metroid Prime series takes place second in the chronological timeline. I believe Ridley died on Zebes and the Space Pirates took him and began reconstructing his body with metallic plates and Samus discovered him on Frigate Orpheon and Ridley, now Meta Ridley, flew to Tallon IV. After his defeat on Tallon IV, you didn't see him "die". Meta Ridley reappears on Norion later and falls down that long shaft. (continued. read up)
Dude, you MUST give me the link to where you got that picture. The other Ridley pictures were L to the A to the M to the E. They made me puke, please send me the link to that picture.
@SoulEater403 From Wikitroid : Ridley, after sustaining severe injury, was wounded beyond fighting capability. However, a scan in the Space Station Orpheon, in the later Metroid Prime game, indicates that he in fact survived the attack.
He sure has survived from his fall in the Impact Crater due to a first Phazon Corruption (giving the blue color from Prime 3) or the strength of his cyborg modifications. But you can't deny he survived during the Norion attack. But he definitely died in Prime 3.
@OmegaRidley89 I doubt Ridley died from that disapperation. Ridley always comes back somehow in the end. He returns in Super Metroid by the chronological story. The games don't do the story in order, just at random parts each time.
@SilverRidley26 Not too sure for now but we'll see in Other M what's happening for Fusion. I know there's a Ridley frozen in B.S.L. Is it one from the same race? We don't know but what I know is that Ridley will come back for Other M.
ridley is always evil and dangerous. but i think, in metroid, super metroid, metroid zero mission, kraid is harder. in every part, just stand still and fire the whole time and ridley is history. for kraid, you have to jump, dodge and fire at the eyes then in the opened mouth and sometimes you miss him, because he hold his hands up and the missiles are blocked.
@OmegaRidley89 i don't know, I think after Zero Mission, they built Meta Ridley from Ridley's DNA, while he has healing after the battle with samus on Zebes (Mecha/Metal Ridley being a prototype of sorts for Meta Ridley) & then fought Samus again in SM once he was fully healed, Samus having destroyed Meta/Omega Ridley completely before this occured. (& then the federation clones Ridley from traces of his DNA & keep him in Sub-Zero Containment on BSL, where he gets infected & becomes Neo Ridley!)
