At the end of MMPR-S2, the 5 Dino and White Tiger coins & morphers were broken/damaged in the battle with Rito. The Dragon coin/morpher was still intact, but almost powerless and left in the past with the Clone-Tommy. The Rangers got 6 new Coins & Morphers from Ninjor in S3. Adam used the damaged mastodon powers in PRiS, but had it restored and temporarily recharged in PROO. Jason (and several others) being repowered in PRWF was never explained onscreen.

@grayranger Jason Zack and Trini had there powers duplicated and given to Rocky Adam and Aisha. so Jason Zack and Trini have working power coins that perfectly intact because it was Rocky Adams and Aisha's dino coins that were damaged

@2TailedKitsune88 actually, their powers were not duplicated, but rather GIVEN to Adam, Rocky, and Aisha. That's why they went to the planet of Edinoi or something to get a sword that would let them exchange the powers (episode "The Power Transfer"). Not sure why though, since Tommy was able to give his remaining green powers to Jason during the whole green candle fiasco, and nothing special was done with the wild west rangers for that.

That being said, it was the power coins given by Ninjor that were destroyed/damaged, not the original dino coins. The zords powered by the original power coins were lost, but not the original powers (even though Adam morphs with a damaged mastodon coin... a bit of a conflict in story, I admit... I think it was used because the original morphs were more popular and sounded cooler).

@ToddtheJewApproves I think that is because Jason never morphed with the Green powers. The transfer of powers to Jason basically gave Jason the Dragon Shield and the Dragon Dagger (so he could control the Dragon Zord). This is shown in the series when the rangers are tricked into handing over their power coins, Jason doesnt simply morph with the green powers, but rather they find Tommy so he can use the powers.

Actually, the powers were given to him by the wizard, and when he and the large rats were destroyed, the white ranger used the wand to remove the green ranger's powers since he wouldn't need them. Don't remember if they destroyed the wand, but Dragonzord still works

In that version, the green ranger teleported to Rita's moon palace to rescue his lover (The purple eagle ranger) only to realize it was a setup. He got overpowered by Rita, and when the purple ranger showed up, an event occurred and the entire place collapsed into the moon, killing both rangers. The others showed up, and found only the purple ranger's coin, so they took it back to Zordon and he destroyed it.

@DarkSideUser66 The upgraded dino coins were destroyed when the Thunder Zords were destroyed just breaking the coins into pieces...The new coins were created and infused with the Ninja powers and that is what Goldar destroyed after Billy regained his body.

Nerdy explanation go... at the beginning of season 3, Rito and a group of monsters attacked the rangers at the same time, overloading the morphing grid which damaged the power morphers and coins, and destroying the Zords. The Rangers went to Ninjor who created new coins for the rangers, the Ninja coins. In Alien Rangers it was the Ninja coins Goldar destroyed. The original coins remained in tact, just damaged.

I wonder what it'd have been like if they gave him a morpher around his belt and didn't use so many scenes from the Japanese version. I mean the show was great but they didn't use a lot of their own scenes as well and also they recycled the scenes and reused them so many times.

I think White Rangers morpher should have been in the middle. All original rangers from that show (Red, Black, Blue, Pink, Yellow and Green) would be on the outside with White in the middle signifying that White was better and not the original 6 morphers. White ranger was my favorite definitely though.

When Rita's brother, Rito, showed up and grew to giant size, the Rangers tried to stop him with the Thunderzords. They didn't have enough power to defeat him, so Alpha gave the Thunderzords a power boost. The power boost wound up overloading the Morphing Grid, which destroyed the Thunderzords and left the Rangers powerless. The Morphing Grid overload is what broke the Power Coins, except the Green Power Coin which wasn't being used at the time.

Ninjor and the Sentinel Knight could restore the Green Ranger's powers, though.

Saban Entertainment hasn't existed for years and Haim Saban himself holds no copyrights to the seasons of Power Rangers that were produced under his ownership of the series. The connection that Disney made between MMPR, Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, S.P.D., Mystic Force, and Operation Overdrive are just as official as the connection that Saban made between Space and Lost Galaxy, or Lost Galaxy and Lightspeed Rescue, or Lightspeed Rescue and Time Force.

I haven't seen all of Power Rangers yet, so I can't properly comment on similarities between Saban seasons and Disney seasons. However, I would guess that what some fans see as Disney's attempt to emulate Saban is mostly just Toei recycling elements from previous seasons of Super Sentai that were adapted for Power Rangers. In other words, superficial similarities like themes (dino theme for MMPR and DT, future theme for TF and S.P.D., etc).

If you think that the Disney seasons of Power Rangers are inferior to the Saban seasons, then I understand and I agree. However, even if you think that, it doesn't change the fact that there is an official connection between MMPR and Operation Overdrive.
