youtube? wat does youtube have anything to do with team fortress 2's console? all you need to do is go on tf2, go to options > keyboard > advanced > check the box for developer console. then open and type draw_hud 0 i think. in-game the entire hud will be gone and u can make machinimas w/o spec hud. its client only i think.

I know how to hide the hud, but I'm not going to finish any new machinima (or redo any old) until I can get a new editor and a vcr in my living room (my video card has s-video out, and it's a lot easier to record to a tape at a decent framerate than try to record using source recorder or the like).

Have you tried disputing it? Go to My Videos and click on it, usually if you just right anything down on the form, it returns the audio right away.

Their copyrights page says that if you don't have a good reason and you use that they'll ban you, but if what you're saying is correct then either some one at youtube/google has a conscience or the process is automated and it's an empty threat.

I suppose it's worth a shot!

Yeah, two of my videos had the same consequence. But I filled out the form with something like "I have seen numerous videos with this song and no punishment, not to mention I have worked hard on this video etc." and as soon as you submit it's fixed. The worst thing that could happen is that they take the audio off again.

Oh and it takes off any type of HUD too, including the Esc Menu sadly and the change class menu, so if you wana change class or exit out a gmae just type in:

cl_drawhud 1

And if you wana film without being in spectator type this:

sv_cheats 1

cl_drawhud 0

r_drawviewmodel 0 or something... ill check...

If you type that in itll take off your model of your hands and weapons in firstperson mode and all of yourself in thirdperson mode, if you have cl_drawhud 0 in with it itll look like a camera.

Another tip if you want a "camera" following you while YOU control the actor is:

sv_cheats 1

cl_drawhud 0

thirdperson
