TM3 was the worst of all the twisted metals. I soon returned it after playing it for a while. The gameplay wasn't all that bad, but the endings and characters made it by far the worst TM of all TMs so far.
By far this is the best twisted metal game. Killer characters and Club kid is my favorite a raver from the acid house / techno scene. I never understand why TM fans hate this version, music, character and the pure lunacy difficulty convert this game in one of the most killers. TM Black for me is the worst.

For Firestarter, maybe setting that blimp on fire would be his crowning moment of glory. Maybe they didn't give Club Kid glowsticks, but they did give him a pacifier; occasionally you'll get a raver that takes E when raving, and it's possible to bite the tongue off. Flower Power could be a feminist (hippy?) who had to make a compromise--she said she didn't like fighting. For all we know, that car runs on corn or weed.
I love how he forgot Amber Rose's 3 different character designs. One in the instruction manual, one in the driver info, and one in the ending. Like in the related videos, you can clearly see that that's not the look in her driver info after watching this video.

Club kid: He wishes for the ultimate party to celebrate his tm victory, which is granted. Thousands gather to party, loud techno is blasting while a disco ball the size of a wreaking ball hangs in the sky. Club Kid is having the ultamate tome when he notices a few people who are starting to get violent. Calypso points out that he couldn't very well throw a party and not invite a few of his own friends, right? They all turn out to be demons like minion who start to kill everybody for fun.
Axel: Like in TMHO, he begins to realize that he cannot stand to be without the machine he has been a part of for so many years. So rather than wish to be free, Axel wishes to be one with the machine. Later he confronts his father one more time, only to show that his skin is metal, the wheels are built into his back, and miniguns are grafted to each of his arms, all controlled by his will. With these weapons, he blows the ever-loving shit out of his father and lives his new life as the machine.
Flower Power: The funniest IMO, she wishes to reset earth back into a pretty landscape before humanity spoiled it all, despite calypso's warnings that she would revert civilization back to the stone age. She wishes for it anyway, and all man-made objects including clothes, her car, and entire cities are dissolved and removed. After which, massive forests shoot up and cover most of the planet in green once again. She is happy, but millions are angry at her for ruining civilization and kill her
Mr Grimm: Sort of like the first twisted metal where he confronts calypso and demands him as his prize. Calypso is obviously unwilling to do so, but Mr grimm planned ahead. He holds out a radio detonator which he considers his real prize and blows calypso's blimp sky high. Grimm seizes his soul from his dead body and rides away from the wreakage.
For better endings this is just what I remember: Warthog: Wishes to be 20 years old again, and gets his wish. He looks and feels great and now has a second shot at life. He becomes so grateful he asks calypso how he can repay him to which calypso points out that he was able to beat the competition as a 100-year-old man, just imagine what he could do with a new body, and so offers him a new job. Warthog gets a bigger, more badass tank and is now the new boss of twisted metal.

When you could hate him for just being a ripoff of Mr.Slam's construction vehicle niche. Firestarter an Club Kid were just stupid you got that right. Forgot about Flower Power. She comes off as a hypocritical moron and doesn't have the most impressive special. I agree with her point of view but she clearly is just used as a "sex sells" character. TM3 actually had classic members. TM4 totally shit on the genre and had ONE fucking classic contestant (the boss no less). Auger's ending was stupid and he's nothing more than a Slam rip off. I liked Firestarter because he fit in the TM world but he seemed to be a kinda mild version of Needles with the fire and clown like persona. Club Kid.....NO! Granny Dread was interesting though crazy driving would break her fragile back like a tooth pick.

Ok...it makes me really angry when people piss and moan about 3 being terrible...ok, I give ya 4 being crappy, but 3 was great. It had all the old cars, and included classic characters like marcus kane, whom you expect to see in there.

I did once find a site where a TM fan hated twisted metal 3 like so many of us, and decided to write some much better endings for the characters. Auger's for example, he wishes to have all buildings he builds to never be wrecked by calypso's contest. The result is he runs the most successful construction company, having rebuilt cities all over the world, forcing calypso to start hosting his contest in space. lol, that's gotta be better than that inner child crap right?
So what? there's plenty of times in each good twisted metal game when calypso didn't screw the winner over and times when he got the shaft himself in the end.

Forgot about Flower Power. She comes off as a hypocritical moron and doesn't have the most impressive special. I agree with her point of view but she clearly is just used as a "sex sells" character. She's not a typical hippie, she's an enviromentalist (driving and blowing shit up while wearing a tight leather dress). No point in finding logic with any 989 studio members. Even the classic characters where made to look terrible. Thumper "hanging" with his homies (Needles and Buster)?

TM3 actually had classic members. TM4 totally shit on the genre and had ONE fucking classic contestant (the boss no less). Auger's ending was stupid and he's nothing more than a Slam rip off. I liked Firestarter because he fit in the TM world but he seemed to be a kinda mild version of Needles with the fire and clown like persona. Club Kid.....NO! Granny Dread was interesting though crazy driving would break her fragile back like a tooth pick.

Ok...it makes me really angry when people piss and moan about 3 being terrible...ok, I give ya 4 being crappy, but 3 was great. It had all the old cars, and included classic characters like marcus kane, whom you expect to see in there.
They complain about that...but then stupidly flock to black, which was more different than 3...which is what they complain about the most. I mean we lose mortimer as shadow and make way for goth chick...lame...

I did once find a site where a TM fan hated twisted metal 3 like so many of us, and decided to write some much better endings for the characters. Auger's for example, he wishes to have all buildings he builds to never be wrecked by calypso's contest. The result is he runs the most successful construction company, having rebuilt cities all over the world, forcing calypso to start hosting his contest in space. lol, that's gotta be better than that inner child crap right?

i liked the gameplay of both games, (wich arent as good as the others) but not the characters and the story. i mean they suck, they suck so bad. but i kinda liked the enery wave thing special that thumper had, it was just so funny watching them roll around on the ground, and if your lucky enough, get knocked off a cliff and die.

some of the endings, they didn't need to enter like Club Kid, go to a club, and Thumper wanted to hang with his homies, call his homies up. Hammerhead can go deaf and the endings didn't match the intros. 989 messed this up badly
