I'm in Thailand and want to buy a Isuzu D-max Platinum Hi-Lander with a automatic trans. Every one tells me "I must buy a 4 door to get that trans." Is this true? Some one please tell me?

Yes. If you want Hi-Lander with that 4AT. But will you fear if I said you must choose a "Cab4" with 4JJ1-TCX VGS Turbo...

best choice among 4WD pickups here is Isuzu in Hong Kong, price is lower than Mitsubishi L200 and Hilux(a hilux is near price with a prado here), reliable than Ssangyang Actyon(SUV chassis).

The Isuzu D-max is one of the best car today in the world that can go 0ffroad or no road....its a highway racer and it can drift also even if its stock..

@Boothyfivetha't's the problem isuzu d-max lacks in power.. upgrade ur engine! if the d-max has a powerful engine it's the best!

4) nissan patrol 5) toyota hilux. there is only the top 5

@nikooliver1 but i agree the isuzu is a very good off roader because the isuzu trooper might get knoked off the list and replaced with isuzu D-max
