(Ran out of space before ; ) The E20P has impeccable fit. Thin nitro finish. Perfect symmetry in the herringbone binding and back purfling, awesome grain everywhere, a beautiful 3-piece mahogany neck with volute, clean, sharp lines in the headstock -- nobody leaned on the buffing wheel. Gold Waverlys would look nicer, but that's an aftermarket upgrade the guitar deserves. The Gotohs are rock solid. It's a fingerstyle dream.
I just laid away an E20P. I've owned a D28 and many OMs, including the OM18 and OM28V series. This parlor is as good as the best Martins I owned & better than some. The E20P has LOTS of volume, perfect intonation up the neck, no dead spots, full bass, sparkling-shimmering-dripping-with-sweetenss mids and highs. This is the golden age of quality guitars at insane prices because the Chinese builders don't get paid what Americans do, but they're every bit as skilled. Buy one if you can.
I had a great 3 days in LA and San Diego at several guitar stores, 8 hours per day... lot's of playing and comparing! All I was playing was small body Martin, Larrivee and Eastman guitars. Long story, short conclusion... I now own an E10P and it is not because it was less expensive. I love this little gem.
@hawg427 The designs are very similar but Eastman is producing the guitars at a fraction of the cost, and at times, using superior woods. For what it's worth, we are no longer a Martin dealer and have decided to carry Eastman instead. Thanks for watching!
Great video!
