I've read that Joe beat the crap out of her a few times which I hate hearing but I do think he was just so frustrated cause he wanted her so badly. Not excusing the behavior tho. I also read that he stayed up all night alongside her casket the night before she was laid to rest. Can you even imagine his heartbreak?
@songbirdy I've also read that Joe beat Marilyn, and I do not, in any way condone that kind of behaviour towards a woman! I have been there, and no man should ever raise a hand to a woman, whether overcome with jealousy or not. BUT Joe was ALWAYS the one Marilyn would turn to in her hours of need and support and Joe always came through. I do believe that out of everyone Marilyn was ever involved with, Joe was the most genuine in his feelings towards her.
In the footage atabout 2.13 of them arriving at a film première they were already divorced, look at the way they look at each other. They really loved each other, they really did.
@Bhuidhe1 I totally see what you mean. I think with the pair of them it was a case of couldnt live with each other but couldnt live without each other either. Despite what went on between them, Marilyn always turned to Joe in her times of need, and he was ALWAYS there. I believe out of her 3 marriages, Joe was the one who loved NORMA JEAN and not Marilyn and thats where their problems were. He wanted Norma Jean 24/7 but Marilyn had to play the part too, it was in some part, her job afterall.
Hello, stace! I love your videos!! They are wonderful and always well done! Marilyn would be proud, and I'm sure she can feel the love from all of her fans. I am a huge fan naturally and have been for the past eight years. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to more of your terrific videos!

thank you so much. i've always felt a connection to her. and today is the anniversary of her death, this was really nice. joe was always there to catch her when she fell. <3
Monroe was praised for her comedic ability in such films as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, How to Marry a Millionaire, Some Like It Hot and The Seven Year Itch.
So sad. I think they both really loved each other. It's too bad it didn't work out between. She might still be alive today if people in Hollywood didn't mistreat her. She was so beuatiful and lovely. Rest in peace Marilyn and Joe.
You have some very stunning photos in this LOVELY video you've made, paying homage to Marilyn & Joe...STUNNING! 100+ stars & more! I've going to favorite this! Very pretty music, also! Thanks for the post! Warmly, Red
Marilyn - Norma was beautiful; an enigma, astounding and fabulous ....i love reading about her life although sad at times. Its fun to pay her tribute......she was an astounding beauty...always to be remembered. You could tell Joe really loved her. barbarabeabette
Marilyn Monroe was most beautiful women that walkd on this earth ever she had it all she was natural and freshh...I LOVE HERR ALWAYS...she will always be remember in my heart deep downnnn....I lovee herrr
OK,...I see it was d-side. I would also like to get that link,...and the lyrics if that would not be too much trouble. I watch, and listen to it nightly now.
This is such a beautiful video, about a beautiful couple, set to a beautiful song. It's so fitting for these two. I watch this several times a day, just because its been done so well.
aww, thank you so much, it means so much to know that you enjoy this video :) Thanks for taking the time to watch it so often and to comment, its so very appreciated :)
Its actually off of an album that I purchased from Amazon JAPAN, I had it shipped over because I was a big fan of the band. Thats probably why you cant find it. I do however have it on my computer, if you would like me to upload it and send you a link to download it, just drop me a message :)
I've read that after the shooting of the famous skirt scene in Seven Year Itch, Dimaggio was so enraged that thousands of people had seen his wifes underwear that he DID hit her in the hotel afterwards. But, I only READ this and dont know if it is true or just made up to make a story. I do not condone that kind of violence AT ALL and if true, its unforgivable! But he was one of Marilyn's closest friends to the end, hence this tribute :)
marilyn never got a fair shake in life. she had a little girl's mind in a woman's body, and a million people wanted to take advantage of her, and being vulnerable, insecure and naive, she allowed it to happen. joe tried to protect her, but he couldn't save her. so tragic. the whole thing is really too sad for words.
I think the reason you cant find it is because its actually off of an album that was only ever released in Japan, I had to buy it especially and have it shipped lol But yeah, I can write down the lyrics and i'll message you with them, because they're too long to send in one of these little boxes lol
Thank you for watching and commenting. I cant actually tell you where exactly I got the photo from, I have so many on my computer that I dont know where I got half of the from lol Once again, thank you for watching :)
I would love to have this song to share with my boyfriend- it's perfect. I feel like he came into my life and saved me from being so lost. I don't even have the words to tell him how much he means, he is my refuge. He taught me to have hope again...what a beuatiful video, thank you.
If you would like the song then I would be more than happy to upload it for you and send you the link to download :) That would be no problem at all. Thank you so much for watching and for commenting :)
I would appreciate that so very much-sorry it's been so long in replying. His birthday is just around the corner, I would love to share the song and create something for him. You make the most well thought out, beautiful videos.
I favorited this one minute in. What a stunner she was. They don't make them like her anymore. I cannot think of one solitary woman today who is as beautiful as she - even when she was going downhill.
Thank you so much for watching, commenting and favouriting, its so very appreciated! And I totally agree, there will never be anyone who even comes close to her beauty. Thanks once again :)
Is not true that Joe mistreated her and was abusive: that is in widest part invented by the media for its sensational purposes.
Joe loved her in the only way he could, trying to father her, protect her and sometimes isolating her. But Joe (unlike Arthur Miller who was self centered and only busy with his own feelings) would never let anyone mess with her.
I am sure they would have been best friends and companions for the rest of their lives had Marilyn lived long enough.
I've read 2 books on Marilyn and been in love with her all my life. Thank you so much for your videos. Although Joe was abusive and very jealous of Marilyn it is true that he really loved her and that they stayed friends forever. After Marilyn had passed away Joe delivered flowers to her grave every week for 30 years.
Simply beautiful. I am a big fan of the Marilyn/Joe romance. Along with the Kennedy's, in my opinion these two are the epitomy of everlasting love and the perfect fairy tale ending. The pic at 0:51 is the screensaver on my phone, and all the other pics are simply beautiful, most I had never seen before. Thanks so much for this!
She never commited suicide.. She was killed..I never met you, but I'll miss you forever Norma Jean..
