Does the full version of Torq software come with it? (now Torq 2.0) or is it a LE limited version of the software that comes with it and you have to pay to upgrade?

Hello there.I just bought torq Connectiv and I have a problem with my turnables which are the CDI-500 by American Audio.The problem is that I can't do any loop or filter or others effects from my cd-players.If there is any1 that could help I would be appreciate.Thanks.

Hello there nice video.I use the Torq Connectiv with American Audio CDI-500 and the only thing i can do is to load the track in each deck and push the start/stop button from the cd player.Then i can scratch,filter etc.I just can't do loop in-loop out and of course reloop.

torq is junk. i had it and it fail on me. get serato or mixvibes cross. i have mixvibes cross and its more stable and it works better. plus the sound card is all in a metal case where torq is just a plastic shell. get serato or mixvibes cross. torq is junk.

@IaMgEoRgE1 u cant map an analog mixer to any software. u either have to get a midi capable mixer or just a usb dj midi controller

When you installed your connectiv did it ask for a serial number when torq came on? if so can you tell me where do i find this serial number. thanks

Hey, I would really like to use torq, but I'm having a little bit of trouble. First off, I'm just starting out as a DJ, so yes I'm a "N008", but I would like to known if I HAVE to use the M-audio Torq Connectiv to connect my turntables to torq. If I don't, could you show me another product I could use? Thanks!

yes you do need the conectiv because torq will only run with original m-audio hardware.

well the hardware i guess has similar features but it's the software the really sets the line

it basically uses time coded vinyl and torqs unique software to play songs

@mokosaurio The M-Audio Connective has phono pre-amps built-in. So you can have both line and phono inputs.

Which is crucial when using a soundcard for receiving phono signals.

The Maya 44 is only line-inputs and line-outputs

hi there, i have the same issue but only with the downloaded version of the software

if you have the CD you should be able to install it no problem

the downloaded versions need you to pay for it i'm guessing

i just sold my serato, and now use traktor pro with midi controllers.

the problem im left with is, i got 2 1210 and no dvs on which to play my DNB. imo DNB should only be played hands on with no sync using vinyl!

so isold my serato for 350!! and im oing to snap up conectiv/torq for 170.

as long as it plays my tunes ill consider that a good turn around.

am i likely to be frustrated coming from serato down to conectiv?

A lot of people prefer Serato, in some ways you might be downgrading if you go from Serato to Torq.

Torq is def. a cheaper option for individuals who would like to have a hands on experience with Digital DJing without splashing out too much money however it really is up to personal preference.

I would like to try out serato fully, the performance is quality.

You should google Torq Vs Serato to sort out more complex differences

but yes it actually works with virtual DJ

although you need to fix a few options to make the sound right

but as far as i know VDJ responds to this, unlike serato; Serato does not recognise or respond to the hardware unfortunately

unless Serato release some sort of plug-in

although google it and find out if you can

Yeah it has a couple of uses , if u use the box on it's own as a mixer then it's main use is similar to volume

In my case it just transitions from static to the music that you hear

but i don't use this for volume, i use my mixer for that

check your needles and stylus on ur turntable

if they're old or budget they could be distorting the sound

u can check the quality of ur stylus by going on to options ---> external control preferences

(make sure that you set it so that you play vinyl, take it out of amputate mode)

the moment u set your needle on the TCV you should get readings in the error index

it should be between 0-0.25 or something like that

if it isn't ; if it's red, you should change needle

personally mine runs fine

if you are having latency issues, is there a possibility that the laptop or PC that you are using is laggy itself?

the software should usually be fine

i reformatted my laptop before installing torq, that way it ran a lot faster and smoother

also if i had a faster laptop this would help torq run smoother too

NICE THX a lot!! I finally found it... I was reading M-audio forums and found that this happens when you have the anti-skip on, so y turned it off and fixed the problem, running like a charm now, loving torq, TXH for the reply!!!!!

so far it's pretty cool

i havn't had a heap load of time to practice though

some still prefer Serato more than Torq, however Torq is less than half the price of Serato therefore in my opinion making it more worth while if you are short for cash

other than that you may want to invest in Serato
