I am totally against every single person having a gun, like this crazy kid in Arizona, but when your house is being invaded by criminal intruders there is no time to stop to philosophize about the pros and cons of individual citizen gun ownership, when nowadays even the lowest scum rummaging in the streets is armed.

@mirarostodo Actually that's one of the reasons gun ownership has been important for a few hundred years is that everyone can get them. If a sword was the most powerful weapon available, wouldn't you want one so as to never be at the mercy of another? Well, same logic applies. You own it, you hope to God you don't have to use, but that doesn't mean you won't if it comes to that. No one will ever find me on weaker ground. I will always be at least equal, and at best in control.

I just checked and it seems like ACLU thinks the right to bear arms is collective and limited. They claim it's a long standing ruling by supreme court.

I think they missed the memo.
