I think Zechs said it pretty well in the last episode of gundam wing. Certain conditions must be met for total peace:

1) All weapons must be eliminated.

2) The desire to fight must be erased from people's minds.

Unless people give up on the desire to fight, stop taking advantage of freedom, and focusing on weapons peace is always going to be further away from us as we try to move forward.

@Wreck1990 Deathscythe Hell Custom FTW. Probably the best stealth mech ever invented. ECM Hyper Jammers and Active Cloak prevent it from being tracked, located (sensed with radar), or even seen unless it wants to be, so it has no trouble making an entrance or closing distance. Add to that probably the coolest melee weapon ever... which has great range and just happens to rip enemies to shreds, too.

Gee I was hoping to see the rivival of the zero system or something. Gah, Zone Of The Enders has a deeper story than this... That's why only two games and a mini series gained so much importance in the mecha fan universe!

Although, when it comes to psychologically deep stories, Evangelion takes the cake.
