and at your own nest it can be for 2 reasons but heres one that makes the most sense. a creature from another nest came to your nest when you were gone and then as the lost creature turns into a cacoon, he stays at your nest. ( makes sense )

Yes. Those are evolution sacs. Creatures go into them when they are evolving into a different creature.
