Its wierd how I cant say what I want to in words, however if music was a form of talking....This song is saying what I want, think, feel, and everything wrapped up...Without words
That whole movie gave me chills....I just remeber being in complete silence and amazed at this movie....i cried so hard at the end.. Genius Movie it was..
This movie... it takes my breath away, I couldn't speak anymore, this movie is life changing, this i a movie that they will not make anymore in 50 years, this movie is a legend
This movie was just beautiful because it showed that you never know who you are going to be in front of adversity. Nice movie with powerful underlying message.
@themenaceanish so you came here, to youtube, to an amazing song (regardless of what it was made for) on the soundtrack of a film released about seven years ago to say "pretentious trash"? your wrong as well if you were wondering
@charlie61087 It is pretentious trash. The only people who liked this movie were critics. Brokeback Mountain deserved the Oscar for best picture. Oh no, you're going to accuse me of being a fag aren't you because I liked a movie about gay people! Crash sucked, get over it.
@themenaceanish theres nothing to get over because it didnt suck. so the wrong film got the oscar, doesn't that happen most years? even if the best film wins there are people who are upset because their favourite didnt. crash is a great film, you have a grudge, anyway this is the soundtrack...
Everytime I hear this. I always think back to the first time I saw the film. I sat right on the edge of my seat and uttered a choked cry. It was so intense. I've seen the film loads of times and I always end up crying at this part.
I remember when this specific part in the movie.....For the first time in a very long time I havent cried watching a movie..But damn I couldnt stop..Simply Amazing.....OH YEA AND ALSO "7 PEOPLE ARE JUST SIMPLY UNCOOL
@BboyMora1 Honestly, I think this is the only movie where I've ever shed tears watching it. Almost nothing will bring me to that state... This movie is beautiful, a work of art, and this scene is just so emotional... I've never had anything move me like this before.
@ricky38251 Yeah, just like this movie shows, there are good times and bad times in life. I just hope that my shedding of tears is over loss of my elder family -- such as my grandparents and parents -- and not over loss of my children (if and when I have them, it's impossible to say what the future holds for me).
But on a less dramatic note, if you were referring to other movies, I'll wait and see. Every now and then an incredible movie will move me, but making me shed tears? Not likely.
@TheRealBowser yea well i only say that cuz i thought nothing would move me like music like this does, but it happened. its sad, but what can you do. this is a great movie and this part almost made me cry, it mostly gave me chills like no other but didnt make me cry. if this is the only movie that made you cry, then you should def go see.....My dog skip. The second saddest movie i have ever seen, second to titanic. i cried myself to sleep, and im manly hetero...but yea, this music the shit bro
@ricky38251 I wouldn't say it made me cry, but it made my eyes water up. I don't know how I felt about Titanic -- it was a sad movie for sure but I don't remember getting the urge to cry about it. I will check out "My Dog Skip" though, thanks for the suggestion!
@TheRealBowser yea forsure dude. im such a sucker for beautiful music like this...ill offer you some more beautiful music sugestions...if you got any for me thatd be cool too
Beautiful film, what people become actors, writers and directors I suspect, all about trying to comprehend the complexity of the human condition in all its guises. Very rare work in our profit driven world, but one or two get through the commercial net, like rare salmon making their way upstream, the beauty in the effort.
The Hispanic guy was such a sweet guy. People judge by looks too easily. This scene really showed who he was. He was the only one in the movie who wasn't prejudice. I choked up when i saw this scene.
@ilovemiranda56 I know exactly what you mean. My favorite scene is the little girl and where she was hiding under her bed, thenwhen her father came home and gave her "the cloak." I wish my father was a father when I was young.
@ilovemiranda56 I know exactly what you mean. My favorite scene is the little girl and where she was hiding under her bed, then when her father came home and gave her "the cloak." I wish my father was a father when I was young.
I guess this movie shows how everyone is made out of several hundreds of layers of complexity; no one is plain, no one is really just "good", "bad", "shallow", "smart". And that's what makes us interesting :)
i was 12 in 2004, and looking back at the Oscars that year... i hadnt seen really any films that were nominated that year... but 'Crash' was really emotional to me, and affected me very well.
this movie is like a pebble ricoshaying of water, every ripple collides with another ripple, and in the end the pebble all ways sinks in the water
meaning every 1 in the end all ways snaps and needs to know that they are human and needed by 1 another. we all humans are no furhter up the evolution ladder than apes
i am feeling that am standing on the mountain at the eveining 6pm and thinking about the world to make my thought and thinking clean am just seeing the golden sun setting and giving the glitterness to the nature the birds that touches and gives the sudden shineness to my eyes... :))) i love it

I think everyone should see this movie! The music adds so much to it! As I listen, I can replay every scene in my head. This is one of my favorite movies ever!!
This is the most moving song i have ever heard in my life. Probably because of the breathtaking scene in the movie. I cry everytime i hear it, and the mere thought of it gives me the heebie-jeebies. Both the soundtrack and the movie are very beautiful
I remember that I broke down sobbing bitterly when the gun shot went off and the man grabbed his daughter close and let out a cry into the air but it was drowned by that intense climax in the music. Never has a scene from a movie ever made me cry out loud before
I'd have to say that i totally agree with Jammed. The movie shows how much impact your life makes to others without you knowing. And yes , sometimes it looks cheesy, but it's also the reality. For me personaly , my greatest hope is still worldpeace. No more war and hate , and that everyone would feel safe and secure and to have all the thingd they need in life, without suffering. Call me a dreamer :)
@Deb0rah25 Its a nice dream but I hope dreams come true sometimes. People in El Sereno call Fullerton white area, people in Fullerton call El sereno mexican area, Alhambra is called asian, Lax is called african area, Cerritos is called Indian area. So I dont know how people are going to be in peace , still it is a good dream.
@Deb0rah25 Hey Deb! we both share the same dream :) I dont think that in this life time we will witness world peace, but maybe our grandchildren, who knows?? Best wishes!
When i close my eyes, I feel like im floating over clouds, flying over cities and mountains without any fears or worries or problems.....maybe this is the stuff you hear in heaven?? =')
It's sad that the movie isn't as known as it should be. When I first seen it, I stumbled upon it at my Mom's house and decided to put it in. I had no idea what type of movie it was. It's a very moving movie and more people should definitely know about it.

This is a very honest film. It illustrates the world that we are living in. how we all are connected together by the same fear, hate, love, and the thought of being the only ones having these feelings. This film has given me so much .. :)
This scene brought tears to my eyes I mean just by looking at the dads face when the gun was fired made your heart skip a beat and the part with the cloak was just damn right touching.
@Stevens89265 lol....i know it has to the most powerful scene in the whole movie. when the guys shoots you actually shout out like the father does and when you realize nothing happens you feel his relief as it were your own daughter. very powerful and touching.
currently im at a point of my life where i'm down on my knees. this music makes me look up and know i can sort things out right and things will get better soon enough.
@XXLsizee I don't know who you are, but I agree with you. It's music like this that makes you truly think. I am not trying to be a smart ass, but I will mention you in my prayers.
I've never ever cried watching a movie in my life. But when this music play, I always remember that girl running out of her house towards her dad. That was the only time in a movie that I have ever cried.
We're looking for volunteers to participate in a university study of Crash and its spectatorship. The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. Research results will be shared in the future. Just cut & paste the following link (and take out the spaces) to get to the survey.

Please do NOT mark as spam. This is for a university study of THIS film. Thanks!
The scene in the movie is amazing. Absolutely stunning piece of cinema. "Crash" could have won the Oscar for Best Film because of this scene alone. The music at 0:55 with the quiet, soft, but powerful notes... Those of us who have seen the movie can agree with this: You know that something even worse than you think is going to happen is about to happen. And then, well no spoilers here :-P
He has never owned or used a gun before. He was probably as terrified, if not more so, than Daniel (The Hispanic father). The slightest jump or sudden movement would have made any terrified, trigger happy person either pull the trigger, or at least flinch, which is an easy way to fire inadvertently.
im a boy thats not afraid to express myself so i can honestly say that this song is so beautifle that the first time i heard this i crid and gave my girlfriend a kiss and a hug
@Zunesrthebest i am sorry that you have been abused, but remember that it doesnt always happen, I'm sure you can one day find someone who will not abuse what you open up to her.

This song is so haunting to the soul. I get shivers every time I hear it build up until the peak at 1:51.

Stevens89265 1 year ago 2
@Stevens89265 lol....i know it has to the most powerful scene in the whole movie. when the guys shoots you actually shout out like the father does and when you realize nothing happens you feel his relief as it were your own daughter. very powerful and touching.

Short Cuts is that same kinda "full circle" movie and you MIGHT like "The Air I Breathe" too. It's a little out there, though.

I've never ever cried watching a movie in my life. But when this music play, I always remember that girl running out of her house towards her dad. That was the only time in a movie that I have ever cried.
This is a powerful movie.

It's easy to know when a film is really good....when hours, days after watching it, you can't stop thinking about it. It happened to me with Crash ;)

Unbelievable song for an unbelievable scene.

i though she was dead i was like o shit (i got teary eyed ...
then when i found out she was alive i was happy..
but 1 thing i wondered... y did he shoot so suddenly when she jumped not realizing its a little girl..?
ojjames25 2 years ago
He has never owned or used a gun before. He was probably as terrified, if not more so, than Daniel (The Hispanic father). The slightest jump or sudden movement would have made any terrified, trigger happy person either pull the trigger, or at least flinch, which is an easy way to fire inadvertently.

@Zunesrthebest i am sorry that you have been abused, but remember that it doesnt always happen, I'm sure you can one day find someone who will not abuse what you open up to her.
