  • Two people say "Screw you Uncle Albert." me, I'll be sure to give a ring.

  • Once this started to play................thousand memories of....... being 11years old.

  • Comment removed

  • I love the song but that is without doubt the WORST album cover of all time!

  • one of the greatest records ever

  • simplemente genial

  • smile away

  • @evilzebra1412 probably cuz they taught it was a pile of shit which it is.........., shoulda put on somthing from johns solo career other than 2 virgins

  • HAPPY 40TH....RAM!

  • @evilzebra1412 Keep up the good work of spreading good music, you will find that sometimes you'll find others with similar tastes and you'll have a new friend. The funny thing is that this song is kinda like an ingenius children's song. It always cracks me up with the whole Butter pie bit.

  • Neat-O song for sure. Paul McCartney is one creative dude.

  • first heard this in eighth grade. it blew me away and i'm still looking for myself :))

  • fantastic ....people forget how good this young man is....he could have been in a really big group.......hands across the water..

  • @SuperBIGAlB LOL..

  • Só 1 pessoa idiota ñ gostou..sempre tem né. =p O Paul é perfeito! =D

  • One of my favorite Wings tunes. Creates a mood not quite like anything I can place my finger on.

  • No Paul! Don't use neck snap!

  • No se xq no toca muchos temas del Ram en vivo... Me parece uno de sus mejores discos.

  • .....the butter wouldn't melt, so I put it in the pie..

  • This is one of the most classic songs out there.

  • t falto el solo pero ahh buen disco el de RAM

  • @Eggman909, Absolute genius for putting the chords up aswell. The future is here.

  • Dammit I wish I had an Uncle Albert...

  • we're so sorry, uncle albert, but the kettles on the boil and we're so easily called away...........hands across the water, hands across the sky, heads across the water, heads across the sky......

  • hahaha

  • paul was the talent in the beatles

  • @matte11t11

All of them have (or had) the talent!

  • @evilzebra1412 sounds like your in class with a bunch of @22holes......

  • I've heard this, time to time, since I was a wee little kid. And this is the first time I realized it was "hands across the water (water), HEADS across the sky." Thought it was hands both times. Ah well, just goes to show you're never too old to learn something new about old songs.

On another note: this song has inspired me to find a recipe for butter pie. Having already made marshmallow and lemonade pies, this is next.

  • @evilzebra1412 ikr the same thing happen to me in computers one guy was like what are you listing to and i let him listen and he had the same reaction i love this music

  • @evilzebra1412 im 11 and i love this song

  • Thus song is AMAZING the best on ram & along with Band on the Run is my favourite of his solo/wings material.

HANDS ACROSS THE WATER.....HEADS ACROSS THE SKY!!!

  • the best song ever :) what a happy song :D makes me smile!

  • This Recording is a Masterpiece.

Best along with Band on the Run.

Fellow Vegetarian - Linda will live Forever.

  • a butter pie

  • @evilzebra1412 you are the smartest kid in class...

  • @EGGMAN909 completely agree

  • Great post EGGMAN! One of my fav albums when I was just a kid. Always LOVED the "Uncle Albert" portion of this song. Such a magic melody and expertly "orchestrated". George Martin influence no doubt. Brilliant!! ~KK

  • this is awesome 3:

  • My father with what little money he had, brought me a Paul M. Beatles chord organ book. I played the Beatles White album by ear.

  • @doctorschlock Then You Tha Man baby! Good for you?! :-)

  • @EGGMAN909 It's like what he did on the song 'Band on the Run'...

  • poor uncle Albert...

  • were sorry if we caused you any pain..

    lovely

  • It's like Band on the Run has two very different sections, at different tempos... like I Want You (She's So Heavy)... which had even more changes in tempo/rhythm.

  • I like how the person who posted this video put the lyrics and the guitar chords to the side. Very convenient if someone wishes to play this.

  • let's just put it this way those of you that cannot form in your minds what to say...there are none at this time and never will be writers as mccartney and his fellow band.. so don't bother posting if you were born after the 60's. , neverthe less God bless you and if you have nothing good to say don't bother

  • that is pretty closed minded thinking for someone who sounds like he should be clearly older and wiser then ppl "born after the 60's"

    p.s. Great song Paul!

  • Heard this the other night after all these years and it is absolutely mind blowing beautiful. Enjoy.

  • Ahh, what a cute, free-form, period piece from Sir Paul. Lovely to hear it again .. really brings back fond memories from the era when this single & the LP were released. This song really grabbed me .. then & now. Being a fan of Brian Wilson & his unique gifts for musical composition (as well as The Beatles, & many others), & being mindful of Paul & Brian's friendship formed from the mid 60s onwards - I personally can see a considerable influence of BW at work in this composition by Paul.

  • we haven't done a bloody thing all day! lol x] so funny

  • at 3:27 sounds like a kid song

  • The butter wouldn't melt so I put it in the pie

  • Starting at 2:20 is it a whole new song or just a continueation?

  • @chelseabelle925 - there's a nice wiki article on this 1971 hit - I frequently 'search' as I listen to learn the history of songs or artists.

I added this to my 1971 list, one of 110 playlists for every year since 1900 - you can listen like you're back in the day !!

Over 300 more playlists feature specific artists and mosts lists play about 2 hours. I might be the biggest music archive on youtube !

  • @chelseabelle925 yeah its kinda mccartneys thing to totally change the song type, lyrics, and all that jazz like halfway through

  • @chelseabelle925 Same song, just look at band on the run it's the same idea :-)

  • @chelseabelle925 - It's sober song vs tripping song :D

  • @chelseabelle925 Sir Paul is famous for taking two incomplete pieces of music and putting them together. In My Life is another example of this style of writing with the Beatles.

  • I could listen to this song over and over and over and over and over again. It's just one of those songs.

  • I know. I'm that way, too.

  • Is it 4:20 somwhere????? Oh Yeah!!

  • I still have this LP... (Ram).....this is one of the best songs on it.....and I still listen to it all the time......long live Sir Paul Mccartney

  • i jack off to this

  • lol

  • I LOVE this song!!

  • This is only Paul

    no WINGS

  • First chord is not Am7. Sounds more like C/D.

  • i dont care!

  • Paul likes the medicinal herb

  • yeah who doesnt??

  • Exactly even Jesus used Cannabis oils probably smoked it as well. Google Was Jesus a stoner ?

  • if god didnt want it he wouldnt of put it on earth :D

  • I don't, since I don't know what it is/means...

  • what is medicinal herb??

  • Well it is a plant that goes way back in time . Actually Jesus Christ used it in its oil form to help cure skin problems. The herb I am speaking of is Cannabis Sativa or Indica Which Sir Paul is known to have a fancy for. Legalize it don`t criticize it .

  • u know this song was originaly made for the beatles but when they broke up paul joined the wings and used this song it sonds like the beatles

  • first heard this on only fools and horses and had to search for it on youtube!!

  • Yeah same lol haha when uncle albert goes missing and they are looking for him lol

  • THIS is 'about a cool song'...just stare at the candle, take a little trip...

  • live a little be a gypsy get around 3:30

  • this song was in only fools and horses it rules!!

  • great song! We're so sorry, Uncle Albert, but we haven't done a bloody thing all day.

  • I loved this song when I was little, and I love it even more now<3

  • Wings/Ram settled my heart after the Beatles dissolved.

  • We haven't done a bloody thing allllll dayyyy xD

  • the best music ever!!!! na na na nara na na na na na hey jude! we sorry uncle albert! across the sky!!

  • The butter wouldn't melt so I put it in the pie :p

  • lol! i was wondering what he was saying there!

  • as much as the critics hated linda, she added a bit of humour to the wings' songs with her lighthearted approach.

  • my mom has this album and i stumbled onto this song and instantly became one of my favorite songs.

  • love it one piece sounds like r2d2.
