I've heard this, time to time, since I was a wee little kid. And this is the first time I realized it was "hands across the water (water), HEADS across the sky." Thought it was hands both times. Ah well, just goes to show you're never too old to learn something new about old songs.

On another note: this song has inspired me to find a recipe for butter pie. Having already made marshmallow and lemonade pies, this is next.

Ahh, what a cute, free-form, period piece from Sir Paul. Lovely to hear it again .. really brings back fond memories from the era when this single & the LP were released. This song really grabbed me .. then & now. Being a fan of Brian Wilson & his unique gifts for musical composition (as well as The Beatles, & many others), & being mindful of Paul & Brian's friendship formed from the mid 60s onwards - I personally can see a considerable influence of BW at work in this composition by Paul.

Well it is a plant that goes way back in time . Actually Jesus Christ used it in its oil form to help cure skin problems. The herb I am speaking of is Cannabis Sativa or Indica Which Sir Paul is known to have a fancy for. Legalize it don`t criticize it .
