The 1992 Lincoln MK8 had the first DOHC 32V (4v/cyl) 4.6. It, and the 96-98 Cobra had the "B" heads. The 99/01 cobra had the second version of 4v/cyl heads. The 00 R had the 3rd version. The 03-04 cobra and Mach 1 have the 4th iteration of DOHC cylinder heads. And no, they don't burn oil.

The saleen motors arent forged and they dont come with a 6spd tranmission, the cobra does. They come with a body kit and suspension upgrades mainly. They are both nice but you are going to have to sink money into either one. Its just easier and cheaper to do suspension mods yourself than a motor build.

i know some stuff about cars and i love all of the old muscle cars ( i'm currently building myself a 1932 coupe) but i don't understand some things like what do you mean cammed out? i know it obviously refers to the cam shaft but caould somebody enlighten me.
These cars have overhead cams. There are 4 cams total. Swapping in more aggressive cams gives more horsepower and makes the exhause sound more aggressive.
putting a camshaft with bigger lobes on it in your engine will increase the clearance between the valve head and the valve seat in your cylinder heads allowing for more airflow to the cylinders increasing your horse power and torque. im really supprised someone hasnt said anything close to that lol. its very simple. make sure you dont get a cam that has too big of lobes though. if the lobes are too big it will cause your valve head to hit your piston and completely destroy your valves. big mess.

what the other two said, Termi's ARE the ultimate non GT500 mustang. the Roush and Saleen are pretty good as well, but nothing beats that snake on the side and the whine under the hood!

These cars have overhead cams. There are 4 cams total. Swapping in more aggressive cams gives more horsepower and makes the exhause sound more aggressive.

putting a camshaft with bigger lobes on it in your engine will increase the clearance between the valve head and the valve seat in your cylinder heads allowing for more airflow to the cylinders increasing your horse power and torque. im really supprised someone hasnt said anything close to that lol. its very simple. make sure you dont get a cam that has too big of lobes though. if the lobes are too big it will cause your valve head to hit your piston and completely destroy your valves. big mess.

Look I own a 1998 Z28 Camaro, I have no problems with mustangs whatsoever. I have no idea why Mustang and Chevy owners fight. They are both AMERICAN MUSCLE. Yes I think Camaros rock with the 5.7l engines and Ford screwed up going with a 4.6l but at least they stopped using pushrods. My God people grow up. We all have different tastes in vehicles and I for one am happy that is the case.
