You use a lighter for the shrink wrap then?

I just brush it with the iron (Obviously not the tip, close to it though)

Not sure if you should of mentioned that if you have different cables inside that you should put a bit of shrink on each of them so they don't touch :P

don't you lose conductivity ect? i mean if you don't mind power that's a little dirty for fans its fine, but data connections wouldn't work? would they?
