I honestly think this is the best feature they have eva came up with,,,,i mean listen 2 it,,,and den dey got da perfect groove throughout the entire cadence...i dnt think there was a part that was boring in dis feature,,,da whole thing keeps you wonderin wats next and keep yo head bobin 2 da beat..and den dat perfect 16count roll....wen i heard da sound of dat i almost died..lol dat roll was way way 2 perfect...sort of unreal yo sheesh!!
in my opinion the movie drumline really shouldve a documentary about HBCU bands instead of a drama. and they shouldve had it about the florida classic and preperations for the classic.
Word is out...FAMU is composed of some people not even enrolled in the school..FAMU learns what 2 shows...maybe.....FAMU just big...I am waiting for them to price themselves out of being invited anywhere since they went overwseas and stole allot of electronic items out of a store and jumped on the bus
Yo I agree, BCU has the better drum line but FAMU has the better band. Watching FAMU in person then watching BCU right after them...was not impressed with BCU. But then again that's just my opinion.
@TheDragonmaster18 I believe that BCU has the better drum line as well as the better band. No doubt that FAMU is the loudest. One of the largest bands on the planer!!!
Cookman doesn't play quints anymore they play the drums with two gock drums behind the quads and in all it is a total of six heads and it is called a Sextet.
how about this , everybody young old whatever,go practice,go to work or whatever it is you do cuz yall go so far out of your ways to critisize and search for things that might make u feel good about yourself, cuz you heard that long roll & it woke you up lol its funny, its a groove its not the exact part, a mere 25 seconds , i think its time for some of you so called grown men to grow up,at least we know we made our statement cuz no one ever starts talking till they feel threatened .....
man aint nobody threatened i just like to get into these talks with my opponents its just fun and play and as far as us grown men I play these drums for a living and um paid well to do it all over the world it dont get no growner than that .
Taurus and 94deathrow - that's actually electric Wheelchair, which was written for the Santa Clara Vanguard battery. I thought that you would have known that. :-/
So in theory, anyone who plays that has jacked it from Santa Clara Vanguard.
naw bru i didn't no that; but I do think that is pretty lame of SI and every other college drumline that jacked it and ill bet that its some people in SI that dont no it was plagiarised lol!!!!!!!
Lol he talking about how Orey took the EXACT PARTS from a candence that university of Texas have been playing since like....1970 sumthin. It's the whole intro for cut throat. I can give you link if needed
man tell me somethin did orey jack texas for the gruv yall play in cut throat yall might want to ask him bout that i think he stole it lol!!!!!!!!!!!!
You all did a great job but I would like for you all Come to Warren County this year and compete against so we can stop all that extra nonsense lol. Good Job Aaron
Yall sound like some white boys trying to be funky yall sound like FSU and that aint a bad thing it just dont sound black my brother is in SI i got love but yall dont sound like yall use to
your exactly right my brother we dont sound like we used to , we have to keep getting better every year , thats one thing i can give famu , there consistant same thing year in and year out .......
and do i detect a slight biy of resentment lol cuz any one who black and 94 % of those who arent can tell thats funky lol
dude yall aint gettin better man my 8year old can play them groovs yall was playing i guess we both agree on one thing cause you think all our stuff sound the same and i think all yours sound the same too
thats nice man its also little kids in china that can play them to but they cant play them with the right technique & style like we can,i mean if you wanna be real they can train a monkey to beat a drum now a days so thats not saying much, but hope your son keeps it up cuz thats a gift at that age ....& at this level tallent isnt the problem sir everyone can play everything that everybody else can play these days, its the quality & style that you use to present it , & the attention to detail
I think dude was be facetious about his kid. I can tell when someone s giving an opinion and when someone is hating. I like this feature overall it was excellent. Always make me proud that I'm a product of this drumline. And SI is trying to sound like some funky white boys? in the words of Pedro Orey "A flam is still a flam no matter what part of the world you go to".
oh still no disrespect tho i wish i could have started playing at that age id be even better than i am now , but yea were all playing the same things no matter where you are rudiments never change , and were just trying to raise the bar from where you guys set it ..lol so in the words of Pedro Orey "the sky is the limit ..you just have to dream it and make it happen"...
we agree on another thing cookman and famu just have different styles i for one can live with both i marched with the spirit of atlanta summer 92 man i just think yall sound white um not hatein thats just me man um taurus lovely i wrote gruv theory melodic thump q-smith time bomb and juke box the joint they played fri man some folk like what yall do and some like what we do so just keep tickleing them drums and we will keep bangin out. and to ya boy my twin boys r 8 and they can get it down
alright thats cool and all those are nice cadences , lol and thats cute you said tickleing , but thats understandable lol ignorance is most definitely bliss
If u wrote all them seriously don't entertain these dudes.....All those cadences r classic!!!!In tha words of Joe Bullard "Tha difference is clear"!!!!!Keep up tha great work and keep those classics coming bruh!!!!!Rattler For Life!!!!!
im a drumset player so i like the cow bells and all that but if you take away the cha cha and the macaranna dance yall was doing that would have been long and boring and turn the volume up on them snares the back rank covering them up
trust me the snares wer playing cuz our 11 snares had a strong presence cuz u could clearly hear us with the back rank playin out ....and u could definitely hear us on the long roll .....
BURR!!!! dats wassup! my future line if i can get the cash...shoutout to my boy marcus(lip) on cymbals, sean(KOD) on snare nd damien on tenor drum. all around CHOPPIN
STRAIGHT KILLED IT !!!!!!!!! GOOD GOOGALY MOOGALY....MAN THEY ROCKED THE WHOLE SHOW, AND CHOPPED AS WELL. CANT ASK FOR NOTHING MORE.....ok Im done....lol

What about Tovah Lovely "TJ", my percussion instructor?
Don't forget to give him credit, I heard some stuff in Jukebox that he got from some of the cadences TJ taught us in previous years.
