I see a little wind but this thing is goint too fast. Its so crude that it would take a very strong wind to turn it. It is already well known that multiblade turbines capture more energy than 2 or 3 blade ones. Problem is when you scale them up they multiblade weighs too much.
Serious misalignement-balance problems obviously visible , spinning well considering, i would suggest using a straight bike wheel to build on next time and ensuring blades are identical-same weight.
Were you spinning that yourself or was it the wind? I heard the wind, but that turbine was really moving and I didn't think that something that small could catch enough wind to turn that fast.

no you can't because fan motor doesn't work by permanent magnets, it uses electro magnet when the AC power is on. you have to use parmanent magnet motors to make wind turbine.
Actually, you sure can, but only if your goal is to back spin your meter. Your AC fan motor spins at 1750 rpm's under normal load. If you simply plug it in and use your own energy wind or otherwise to drive it above 1800 rpm's it will start producing electricity. The harder you crank the speed will only rise slightly but the load will rise quickly. Unplugged the same motor will stop generating, the AC current from the grid induces a magnetic field on the rotor. Google "induction generator"

It's NOT a generator... it's a TOY. there's no generator attached which means that it can spin all it wants (or at least until the POS falls apart). This is not technology... this is jr. high metal shop...

I think you should build yourself a small one, they are basically free with only a few dollars for things you cant make like the magnet and capacitor. Besides producing electricity, some ingenious rice farmers uses small wind turbines, intentionally made unbalance so they vibrate when spinning. Mount them on slender flexible pole (such as bamboo) with flappers (also made of bamboo). The sound they made is loud enough to scare away birds.

it is only a model,but this imperfect model has some new,a very good technic ideea and in consequence the model has a big speed of rotation.

Build yourself a wind turbine using an Ametek 30 volt dc motor from Ebay. With PVC blades. Check it out. they are not very expensive. peace bro.

Besides producing electricity, some ingenious rice farmers uses small wind turbines, intentionally made unbalance so they vibrate when spinning. Mount them on slender flexible pole (such as bamboo) with flappers (also made of bamboo). The sound they made is loud enough to scare away birds.

you should try to glue weights to the unbalanced side to make it even and it will spin faster and smoother.
