we at fntruewrestling thought that the sheamus orton match was great for what they did with the stairs and the steel chair especially with the whole PG ERA
I read and heard from people that was there, that alot of kids were actually crying after the cena match, and families left when the divas match started. I think that is sad, cause the Cena/Nexus thing is very interesting, and i hope they make something of it, but WWE could say: Kids arent watching us anymore beacause Cena is with Nexus, so lets just make Cena superman again.

Ya the monday night raw, OMG I have never been so enthrolled with a monday night raw in SUCH a long time, it was an awsome show, if u bad mouth it, ill shit a brick lol Edge and Michael Cole, Nexus and Cena, friggin fantastic
I think the guy who came in first and distracted the ref in the Cena vs Barrett was Micheal McGillicutty but I know for sure the guy who hit Cena was Husky Harris. Nexus recruiting NXT season 2 guys as well as Cena. Could be interesting but I agree I don't have a lot of faith in the creative team.

I give this show a C-. Orton and Sheamus' bout was their best. I think the U.S. Championship match should have went longer, it was still good tho. I'm guessing the guy who interfered in the Cena/Wade bout was Husky Harris from NXT Season 2. So they'll probably bring some of the Season 2 guys in as new recruits or something. Kane v. UT was pretty skipable.
@steeltownbrown52 I think why a lot of ya disagree with T's rating and why you all loved it so much was just cause the unexpected happened with Cena losing. The match itself was nothing to blink at. Ya had 2 matches out of 6 that delivered(with one out of the 2 as I said before ending too soon). So I can understand why T gave this 6.25.
i probably wouldve taken out the entire edge-del rio-swagger segment and thrown in ziggler vs mvp for the ic title. or maybe a little match with punk or kaval to excite the crowd. taker and kane i wouldve given 10 minutes and had kane go over. and i wouldve put barrett vs. cena as the main event. its very true, i want wwe to be fun to watch, but you just cant care for many of these young guys because wwe keeps telling me that they will never get their big push (kingston, morrison, etc)
Alright, so NXT is a giant conspiracy show with the sole purpose of taking over WWE. The only reason we have a female NXT is so Nexus gets a female member or 2.
The question is....who is behind this conspiracy show? :-D
i markd out 4 the cattle mutilation & the looks on those stupid women and kids faces after the cena match was worth the price of the ppv. hell in a cell = epic win XD
The Summerslam 2008 HIAC is a perfect example of how to do a Hell in a Cell without blood. Probably my second favourite HIAC only behind The first one.
Seriously, a 6.25? This PPV was at least a 7. The show was actually more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Though I do agree with a lot of points in your video. WWE really needs to push their young guys. They have a roster of wrestlers that fans want to get behind, but it's mostly impossible because they usually get buried by those already stars. When the Undertaker is done, where is WWE going to be in a few years if the newer guys don't get pushed? Writers need to get their shit together.
i think you underrated this ppv a bit I mean it was certainly better than the last few ppvs both TNA and WWE with the exception of No Surrender which was also decent
I have to say Tslay, I disagree. I know you are an educated fan, and do enjoy your reviews, but I truly enjoyed this show. I was not looking forward to it, but I am happy. I loved the US title match, and Bryan is a NEW STAR. Barrett vs Cena was very entertaining, and built Barrett and the Nexus up, another NEW STAR. In general though, they do need to make more new stars. I think they are on the road to doing that. They even went out of their way to make Natalya look good.
i thought it was one of the best PPVs of they year and i gave it an 8 the 3 main matches impressed me a lot and the undercard was enjoyable even the divas match got some time which was nice to see but Del Rio vs Edge would have been cool instead Edge - Swagger but hey good match none the less :)
this show was bad no kofi no punk no jericho the same feud we seen in 1998 with paul bear turning on undertaker but i bet this will still be better than bound for glory
you need to start saying '' in my opinion '' cause you speak like it's facts and that's being way too smart which you give the feeling most of the time i agree with some stuff you said but you need to start saying '' in my opinion '' of get off your big bubble it's not cause you got alot of subs that you any different then us your a fan like everybody on here
It was a good PPV. 6.25 is not correct, it should be somewhere between 7 and 8. And that is even though you overrated Orton/Sheamus which was the most boring shit I've seen in a while. Taker vs. Kane needed to go a bit longer because it was the main event, liek you said except that there's not much wrong with it. Also Cena vs. Nexus was a big moment and you didn't even address this.
orton vs cena was boring ? are you fucking nuts ? that match completly overshadowed and outclassed the undertaker kane cell match which was atrocious.
why do you hate kane? he is a good worker, he has always been better than taker in the ring. Kane has done a lot of stuff in the ring for a big 330 lb guy, he is just booked to water down his moveset. If WWE let Kane do his best and show his real talent, he could even win a match of the year.
Is it just me or have WWE ppvs been missing a certain vibe lately? I remember when WWE would have far lerss matches on their ppvs during the Monday Night Wars but they had a certain feel to them WCWdid not. Now I feel like I am watching WCW ppvs with less content. Is it because the crowd is dead or is it why the crowd is dead?
Isnt this like CM Punk - joining the new breed in ecw to see how he handle it in the heel spotlight before he became a face again over the new breed then his heel turn will be bigger than ever
A 6.25.......really? Come on expectations were so low and this PPV delivered aside from the main event which was meh. Still this thing should be in the 7-8 range. I crapped on this thing before it aired but give the WWE benefit of the doubt
This sounds like it was a good PPV, to be honest. Just based on what you told us, T-Slay (which is what you said near the end). I kinda wish I'd seen it live.
You definately need to rethink your ratings. You were really supportive of the 3 way match but you gave it the same rating as Orton vs Sheamus which you shat on. Doesn't really make sense.
@rakafella2000 Yeah that's great, you're missing my point completely. I don't care about the match at all, didn't even watch it which is why i came on this review. if you say one match was pretty good and you give it the SAME RATING as a match you said was pretty boring then that doesn't make sense. Get my point now? Thank you.
@rakafella2000 Listen kid, I'll say it FOR THE LAST TIME. If you give the same rating for a "pretty good match" that you gave to a "pretty bad match" that doesn't make sense. i don;t care about the time, or the "story" told. It still doesn't make sense. You're trying to tell me that a 23 minute long bad match deserves the same rating for a 14 minute long match that was better? Is that you're point? Give me a fucking break.
@Fresnos you get 2x more time to show more storytelling, more spots, more wrestling. It was also for the world title. It was in a cage. It NEEDED to be ****+ at worst.
@rakafella2000 and you're an idiot because you're not even listening to me. I guess you missed the part where I said I didn't see the match. Way to be a major fail and reading comprehension.
@Londrick There was better talent and a better main event back then. And from what I gather the crowd didn't suck as much as last night's. And this comes from someone who thought 2007 sucked.
The most honest review I've seen so far. Especially on Kane/Undertaker. The match was incredibly boring and long. Instead of the crap with Del Rio, WWE should've added an IC Title or Tag Team Title match and shorten Kane/Taker. It was a PPV that I liked in the sense of match winners but overall it was kinda blah. And Orton/Sheamus should've ended the show
Great review truthslayer. I think you should send your application in to wwe and ask to join there booking team because you seem like you know what your talking about when it comes to wrestling
I still want to know why we can't give the tag titles or IC titles time but we can give Alberto Del Rio(who cut essentially the same promo he did friday on SD!) and a feud with 3 days build up 15 mins or so collectively.
good review, i dont look forward to HIAC matches anymore because i always end up disappointed, speaking of TNA, i was one of the few that accepted you no longer doing reviews, but i was wondering what will change that? the start of 2011? maybe even a great bound for glory? or is this just permanent for the time being, we got their first live show in months next week, hope you tune in :)
I didn't see the show, but reading/hearing about it i'm glad i didn't. WWE is getting so stale, and this card on paper was lacking. I hope Jericho doesn't leave, his absence tonight was felt IMO. And what is Edge's direction? Was this just a one-off with Swagger just to get Edge on the show? Is Edge a face now? I will say I am interested to see Raw for Cena and Nexus
How do we have three 3.5 star matches but get a 6.25 lol. I figured you would have least put it in the 7s, but I guess. I enjoyed the PPV. Yes, I did prefer some of the matches have blood to strength its likability, but for a PG oritented PPV, it was really good.
WWE = dying because they are morons. Dragon is still a god. those who don't know his work, buy ROH dvds kids. Bryan Danielson is a god. Not as god like as Claudio, or Quackenbush. Still godish. Shamless = boring. Randy = go away. Cena and Barret = I don't care. you were right the first time eight years plus. Good Review.
This PPV sucked so happy the buy rates in WWE are down, you can tell this one is too with only 2 weeks to build also Bragging Rights is in 2 weeks too! lmao @WWE you are so stupid.
Seems like only the new kids who just stared to watch WWE and not WWF liked this Hell in a Cell PPV @Tslay1974 you are not WWE's target so its obvious you will not like this PPV.
@tna4life123 Yeah, because I don't think blood and cursing immediately makes a good or bad product, same to be said for the lack thereof. I can actually enjoy certain things about the current product instead of constantly longing for the days of Austin and the beer truck while conveniently forgetting Mae Young giving birth to a hand.
The bottom line is there was shit back then and yes it's worse now but there's plenty of stuff to enjoy still and I'd rather do that than sperg on the internet.
@foxnetworkchannel2 i would just like to say i've been watching wrestling for 10 years and i enjoyed this ppv a lot. everyone has a different opinion.
@SirHobbalot you enjoyed it "A LOT" really? I know everybody has there own opinion and I respect that but I just cant see how you enjoyed this PPV a lot, plese tell me how you did?
Great review man, the main issue with this PPV was that the matches dragged. I felt like the matches was good, but lost interrest 10min in to the HIAC matches. Also the PPV should have had more build up, Since we just had a PPV two weeks ago, this show almost felt like Monday nnight Raw or smackdown
I thought it was a pretty good show to be honest, espeically the first match. I respect a lot of truthslayer's reviews, but it seems like each and every Indy PPV gets an automatic high score and every WWE show struggles to even get a 7. Maybe he has higher expectations for a larger company, but I really don't think that the smaller indy guys are always necessarily better than what you see from WWE and TNA.
@TheMountainMan84 The diffrence is that Indy's usualy just put on better matches where WWE has a bad habbit of not giving guys time. Also most smaller compaines ROH/DGUSA the matches mean more as the PPVs are not every 3-4 Weeks.
Are my ears deceiving me or did you just give TNA a compliment? I think if WWE is going to put on a Hell in a Cell ppv every year, EVERY match should be a HIAC, similar to TNA's Lockdown ppv.
Yeah, I know how you feel about Sheamus, and it's pretty pathetic. I thought this was a pretty decent PPV for the amount of build that it was given. I think they should just get rid of this PPV, and just have Bragging Rights for October. The HITC matches just don't feel like HITC matches anymore. Not just without blood, they just really don't utitize the environment to what you could use it for.
Okay Truth, I usually like your reviews, but what in the high holy fucking hell are you talking about?
WWE IS building new stars. Miz, Barrett, and Bryan for three. If Cena had gone over, I could agree with what you were saying in the beginning to an extent. You rated all the matches pretty strongly yet you say the PPV was mediocre at best which leads me to believe that your biggest problem was with the booking, and the booking of this show was...well, pretty fucking good.
@SamuraiFoochs they are building stars 5 YEARS to late. Barrett is over I said that but Shamus is not and there is a WHOLE list of other guys that are not as well that the WWE has missed the boat on or they wouldn't be in the spot they are now. What I didn't like about the PPV was the Orton/Shamus match while it was good it wasn't great. UT/KANE was horrible for a mainevent and the Del Rio/Edge stuff had no place on the PPV.
@TSlay1974 What? The past five years, they've had a steady set of guys to rely on. Cena, Batista, Orton, HHH, HBK, Taker, Edge, and to a lesser extent, let's say Hardy and Punk. Now those guys are largely gone or getting ready to be gone so WWE is now building new guys.
Has WWE missed the ball a lot? Sure they have, no doubt. But they're doing plenty right right now as well.
@SamuraiFoochs WOW 7 guys when they needed close to 15 do to the roster and amount of TV they have. If they where only doing raw for 2 hours every week yes 5-6 guys would be fine but that has not been the case not only that but the guys UNDER those guys have never been alowed to look like they are in the same league as the mainevent guys so its hard for fans to take the mid card guys seriously when they do get a push.
@TSlay1974 Clearly we are never going to agree on this one so I'll leave you to bitch about WWE while fawning over ROH (who for the record I think also puts forth a good product) and I'll be content to watch mainstream wrestling and actually enjoy it instead of scrambling for things to complain about so none of my internet buddies think I actually like something popular.
@SamuraiFoochs you know something we would agree on more things about WWE then disagree. WWE are for kids now the segments are for kids, the comedy are for kids. I think I hold on to the past when it comes to WWE, there product is not for me for example when Cena lost who did they put the camera on.
@tna4life123 That was just to show a reaction from the fans, young and old. Pro wrestling is for all ages tho, no matter what promotion it is. Sounds like you're another victim brainwashed by the attitude era.
@TraciPeteyforlife 'Cause as I said I usually really really like his videos, but this one really rubbed me the wrong way so I felt the need to register that qualm.
@SamuraiFoochs Running down your list we can see some problems - over-exposed, entering his forties and in a constant flux of losing his appeal (thankfully left), mishandled, entering forties and is still considered the third wheel to the Attitude Era forerunners, retired (for now), should be retiring soon, the only strong one on this list - of course, all in that order.
The WWE needs to keep churning out new stars they can rely on, but the writers manage to fuck them up.
@SamuraiFoochs Cena, Batista, Orton and Edge were all established in about 2005 as main eventers. HHH, HBK, and Taker were all established during the 1990s as main eventers. The shelf life for a character is between 12 and 18 months. That's how long it takes before it gets boring, if the character is used consistently on TV and PPVs. That applies to EVERYONE... if you don't believe me, go back to SCSA's return to WWF in 2000 and listen to how much the crowd didn't give a rat's ass about him.
@SamuraiFoochs So, if a character only lasts 12-18 months, then talent should be in a near-constant state of flux. Characters should be evolving constantly or new talent should be promoted to replace old talent on a WEEKLY basis. Particularly when the WWE books on an Attitude Era calendar (4 hours of TV per week to support a MONTHLY ppv) the thirst for new talent is unquenchable. Orton has evolved his character, and for this he deserves credit. Punk is not booked like a main eventer.
@SamuraiFoochs Many of the other stars (Cena) do the same old shit. For five years. And not only is no one else ever given a chance to get over (because.. after all.. who could ever get a bigger pop than Batista, a man who I would wager was generally unnoticed even by his own parents because of his utter lack of charisma) they don't even have enough guys to have a full roster, which is why most RAWs turn into Zac Ryder/Great Khali dance contests. It's garbage.
Hell in a cell. Yes, they put on a good match. Crowd was dead from that cell match. Do you think you could do a better job at making stars? If so go get a job doing such. Cena and Barrett was a GREAT match. Barrett looked great. They had a good match for womens standards. The ending was different, made for a good ending for a rematch. all 10 should be really good wrestlers..its a wrestling company. Mainevent...didnt care... so, I gotta cut the vid off here..not your fault Taker and kanes fault.
@angelofmercy1684 Part of making stars is pushing guys at the right time. Only the VERY best like Punk can survive getting pushed and then having it stoped only to get pushed again only to have it stopped again only to get pushed again. Fans have been told that No one is in the league of CENA/UT/HHH(even though gone)/Orton ect for so long they don't care about a lot of the under card. MVP/Swagger/Elijah Burk/Cryme Time/RVD/Booker T all over them had the chance to be bigger than they are if used
@TSlay1974 You're right. They have not done that in five years. They seem to be doing the TNA thing and what I mean by that is. They are throwing shit against the wall and seeing what sticks.I agree they need to have less A.D.D and be more attentive long term I think the long term focus is for Miz, Shemus and that is about it.I think Morrison might get a push soon. I think the crowd will ge behind Danielson and stay behind him as well. I think WWE will turn it around. They got my attention again
all they had to do was have Barrett get on the mic and cut a promo and them do the segment with Cena putting on the Nexus shirt and leaving with the Nexus and spend like 10 minutes on that and cut down on that long ass main event
@YoByAxEs Mainevent was horrible and nothing else on the show was great. Yes Cena losing was good and all but not enough to save the PPV 6 matches a PPV does not make and lets not forget the SMACKDOWN segment that was just not good at all. The Mainevent and the Del Rio/Edge stuff killed this PPV for me.
@TSlay1974 Nah, you did say that you hated whenever Undertaker and Kane fought, so I guess that's why you hated a pretty decent/good main event and Smackdown segments are needed to draw publicity for Smackdown itself. Del Rio was put out there to get people to know him better.
@YoByAxEs Then do it on RAW not on a PPV you pay money for a PPV or that is what they want you to do so don't make it feel like you are watching RAW/Smackdown.
@TSlay1974 I'll have to correct you on one thing, it was a Raw AND Smackdown segment. Del Rio being on Smackdown, Edge being on Raw. You won't see a segment like this on Raw or Smackdown unless it's a special show.
Eh, segments have been going on on PPV's for years. This one didn't seem any different. I saw it as a way to expose more Raw fans to Del Rio and to get him a little more heat.
@YoByAxEs You would be right if Del Rio had not been out there for what 5min talking about ray and the like? If it had been Del Rio comes out talkes Edge comes and out and talks and that leads to Edge vs Del Rio then you would be right the did NOTHING for Del Rio on top of that.
@TSlay1974 Taker is an broken down old man thtt need retire need retire face Daniel Bryan in my opinion cause hes great him taker great match taker goes out on good note losing Bryan
@jeffhardynextwwesman now I agree that Taker is broken down and everything but Daniel Bryan being the one to kill him off is soooo never going to happen. I like Bryan but he's not the guy to do it. Well to me he isn't but I'm with you on Taker
@chucky1x yea at wm 28 perfect he lose and retire at wm ok Taker time is coming hes old hes gonne so HBK gone and hhh will be gone soon so wwe make stars carry the campn
@YoByAxEs yet Edge attacked Swagger on SmackDown, and said he does not care if it's on RAW or SD in his promo on SD, he will try to rid the WWE entirely of things that are "stupid" on both brands
@SadisticScott I don't see WWE management going through with that idea. As I see it, Edge's stay on Raw is up in the air as he could move to Smackdown any minute. But for the meantime, he's still on Raw to me.
But my original comment towards Truthslayer wasn't about that. I'm just disappointed that he gave this pretty good PPV a shitty rating.
@TSlay1974 : Yeah but TSlay, it's alright to have segments on a PPV that will get people talking. Like HBK, and Jericho's segment back at SummerSlam 2008. I feel that did a good job, and Triple H's decision whether he wanted to go to RAW or SmackDown back at Vengeance 2002, but I agree with you somewhat on this segment at HIAC. WWE should have just had Swagger attack Edge backstage on SD after Edge dissed him, and they book the match for the PPV.
We did not see anything YOU saw it. Do not speak for all of us. This Pay per view was good by todays standards. I had no idea you had such a wrestling mind::roles eyes::.Its kinda saying something..yea.. that the triple threat was the best match of the night. Alex Riley is the Miz's bitch lol. People do not listen to Tslay. SEE THAT MATCH. Shemus carried Orton through this match.. we found out Shemus could put on a good match. Orton gets his ribs beat on the whole match and and climbs a 20 foot
This was a really good review You know your stuff.

TheWinglessSaint 1 year ago
I have to say Tslay, I disagree. I know you are an educated fan, and do enjoy your reviews, but I truly enjoyed this show. I was not looking forward to it, but I am happy. I loved the US title match, and Bryan is a NEW STAR. Barrett vs Cena was very entertaining, and built Barrett and the Nexus up, another NEW STAR. In general though, they do need to make more new stars. I think they are on the road to doing that. They even went out of their way to make Natalya look good.

jb0609 1 year ago
It was a good PPV. 6.25 is not correct, it should be somewhere between 7 and 8. And that is even though you overrated Orton/Sheamus which was the most boring shit I've seen in a while. Taker vs. Kane needed to go a bit longer because it was the main event, liek you said except that there's not much wrong with it. Also Cena vs. Nexus was a big moment and you didn't even address this.

I remember when WWE would have far lerss matches on their ppvs during the Monday Night Wars but they had a certain feel to them WCWdid not. Now I feel like I am watching WCW ppvs with less content. Is it because the crowd is dead or is it why the crowd is dead?

@rakafella2000 Yeah that's great, you're missing my point completely.

How do we have three 3.5 star matches but get a 6.25 lol. I figured you would have least put it in the 7s, but I guess. I enjoyed the PPV. Yes, I did prefer some of the matches have blood to strength its likability, but for a PG oritented PPV, it was really good.

JJCoo077 1 year ago
I thought it was a pretty good show to be honest, espeically the first match. I respect a lot of truthslayer's reviews, but it seems like each and every Indy PPV gets an automatic high score and every WWE show struggles to even get a 7. Maybe he has higher expectations for a larger company, but I really don't think that the smaller indy guys are always necessarily better than what you see from WWE and TNA.
TheMountainMan84 1 year ago
@TheMountainMan84 The diffrence is that Indy's usualy just put on better matches where WWE has a bad habbit of not giving guys time. Also most smaller compaines ROH/DGUSA the matches mean more as the PPVs are not every 3-4 Weeks.
TSlay1974 1 year ago
Are my ears deceiving me or did you just give TNA a compliment? I think if WWE is going to put on a Hell in a Cell ppv every year, EVERY match should be a HIAC, similar to TNA's Lockdown ppv.
ststriker 1 year ago
Yeah, I know how you feel about Sheamus, and it's pretty pathetic. I thought this was a pretty decent PPV for the amount of build that it was given. I think they should just get rid of this PPV, and just have Bragging Rights for October. The HITC matches just don't feel like HITC matches anymore. Not just without blood, they just really don't utitize the environment to what you could use it for.
DanTheMan0531 1 year ago
Okay Truth, I usually like your reviews, but what in the high holy fucking hell are you talking about?
WWE IS building new stars. Miz, Barrett, and Bryan for three. If Cena had gone over, I could agree with what you were saying in the beginning to an extent. You rated all the matches pretty strongly yet you say the PPV was mediocre at best which leads me to believe that your biggest problem was with the booking, and the booking of this show was...well, pretty fucking good.
SamuraiFoochs 1 year ago 2
@SamuraiFoochs they are building stars 5 YEARS to late. Barrett is over I said that but Shamus is not and there is a WHOLE list of other guys that are not as well that the WWE has missed the boat on or they wouldn't be in the spot they are now. What I didn't like about the PPV was the Orton/Shamus match while it was good it wasn't great. UT/KANE was horrible for a mainevent and the Del Rio/Edge stuff had no place on the PPV.
TSlay1974 1 year ago 2
@TSlay1974 What? The past five years, they've had a steady set of guys to rely on. Cena, Batista, Orton, HHH, HBK, Taker, Edge, and to a lesser extent, let's say Hardy and Punk. Now those guys are largely gone or getting ready to be gone so WWE is now building new guys.
Has WWE missed the ball a lot? Sure they have, no doubt. But they're doing plenty right right now as well.
SamuraiFoochs 1 year ago
@SamuraiFoochs WOW 7 guys when they needed close to 15 do to the roster and amount of TV they have. If they where only doing raw for 2 hours every week yes 5-6 guys would be fine but that has not been the case not only that but the guys UNDER those guys have never been alowed to look like they are in the same league as the mainevent guys so its hard for fans to take the mid card guys seriously when they do get a push.
TSlay1974 1 year ago
@TSlay1974 Clearly we are never going to agree on this one so I'll leave you to bitch about WWE while fawning over ROH (who for the record I think also puts forth a good product) and I'll be content to watch mainstream wrestling and actually enjoy it instead of scrambling for things to complain about so none of my internet buddies think I actually like something popular.
SamuraiFoochs 1 year ago
@SamuraiFoochs you know something we would agree on more things about WWE then disagree. WWE are for kids now the segments are for kids, the comedy are for kids. I think I hold on to the past when it comes to WWE, there product is not for me for example when Cena lost who did they put the camera on.
tna4life123 1 year ago
@tna4life123 That was just to show a reaction from the fans, young and old. Pro wrestling is for all ages tho, no matter what promotion it is. Sounds like you're another victim brainwashed by the attitude era.

TraciPeteyforlife 1 year ago
@TraciPeteyforlife 'Cause as I said I usually really really like his videos, but this one really rubbed me the wrong way so I felt the need to register that qualm.
SamuraiFoochs 1 year ago
@SamuraiFoochs Running down your list we can see some problems - over-exposed, entering his forties and in a constant flux of losing his appeal (thankfully left), mishandled, entering forties and is still considered the third wheel to the Attitude Era forerunners, retired (for now), should be retiring soon, the only strong one on this list - of course, all in that order.
The WWE needs to keep churning out new stars they can rely on, but the writers manage to fuck them up.
moralvirus 1 year ago
@SamuraiFoochs wow, 7 constant main eventers since around 2005ish...WOW, that's a lot (sarcasm off)
SadisticScott 1 year ago
@SamuraiFoochs plus they are doing nothing to make the "new guys" look believable when they get little to no crowd reaction and heat
SadisticScott 1 year ago
@SamuraiFoochs Cena, Batista, Orton and Edge were all established in about 2005 as main eventers. HHH, HBK, and Taker were all established during the 1990s as main eventers. The shelf life for a character is between 12 and 18 months. That's how long it takes before it gets boring, if the character is used consistently on TV and PPVs. That applies to EVERYONE... if you don't believe me, go back to SCSA's return to WWF in 2000 and listen to how much the crowd didn't give a rat's ass about him.
mickeybabylon 1 year ago
@SamuraiFoochs So, if a character only lasts 12-18 months, then talent should be in a near-constant state of flux. Characters should be evolving constantly or new talent should be promoted to replace old talent on a WEEKLY basis. Particularly when the WWE books on an Attitude Era calendar (4 hours of TV per week to support a MONTHLY ppv) the thirst for new talent is unquenchable. Orton has evolved his character, and for this he deserves credit. Punk is not booked like a main eventer.
mickeybabylon 1 year ago

Mainevent...didnt care... so, I gotta cut the vid off here..not your fault Taker and kanes fault.
angelofmercy1684 1 year ago
@angelofmercy1684 Part of making stars is pushing guys at the right time. Only the VERY best like Punk can survive getting pushed and then having it stoped only to get pushed again only to have it stopped again only to get pushed again. Fans have been told that No one is in the league of CENA/UT/HHH(even though gone)/Orton ect for so long they don't care about a lot of the under card. MVP/Swagger/Elijah Burk/Cryme Time/RVD/Booker T all over them had the chance to be bigger than they are if used
TSlay1974 1 year ago
@TSlay1974 You're right. They have not done that in five years. They seem to be doing the TNA thing and what I mean by that is. They are throwing shit against the wall and seeing what sticks.I agree they need to have less A.D.D and be more attentive long term I think the long term focus is for Miz, Shemus and that is about it.I think Morrison might get a push soon. I think the crowd will ge behind Danielson and stay behind him as well. I think WWE will turn it around. They got my attention again

TSlay1974 1 year ago
@TSlay1974 Nah, you did say that you hated whenever Undertaker and Kane fought, so I guess that's why you hated a pretty decent/good main event and Smackdown segments are needed to draw publicity for Smackdown itself. Del Rio was put out there to get people to know him better.
YoByAxEs 1 year ago 4
@YoByAxEs Then do it on RAW not on a PPV you pay money for a PPV or that is what they want you to do so don't make it feel like you are watching RAW/Smackdown.
TSlay1974 1 year ago
@TSlay1974 I'll have to correct you on one thing, it was a Raw AND Smackdown segment. Del Rio being on Smackdown, Edge being on Raw. You won't see a segment like this on Raw or Smackdown unless it's a special show.
Eh, segments have been going on on PPV's for years. This one didn't seem any different. I saw it as a way to expose more Raw fans to Del Rio and to get him a little more heat.

SadisticScott 1 year ago
@SadisticScott I don't see WWE management going through with that idea. As I see it, Edge's stay on Raw is up in the air as he could move to Smackdown any minute. But for the meantime, he's still on Raw to me.
But my original comment towards Truthslayer wasn't about that. I'm just disappointed that he gave this pretty good PPV a shitty rating.
YoByAxEs 1 year ago
@TSlay1974 : Yeah but TSlay, it's alright to have segments on a PPV that will get people talking. Like HBK, and Jericho's segment back at SummerSlam 2008. I feel that did a good job, and Triple H's decision whether he wanted to go to RAW or SmackDown back at Vengeance 2002, but I agree with you somewhat on this segment at HIAC. WWE should have just had Swagger attack Edge backstage on SD after Edge dissed him, and they book the match for the PPV.
