Saddam regulatory violated multiple UN sanctions including firing on NATO aircraft patrolling the established no-fly zone. The problems in Afghanistahn are greater now than they were 9 years ago, all that has been acheived so far is a body count (Currently 1,644 US fatalities plus many thousands of personel with serious injuries and non combatent fatalities) Afghanistahn will just be another Vietnam.
