Its a cool movie, BUT It's too bad the writers dropped the ball with the end of this one and the beginning of the next one "Jason Lives":

Part V ends with Tommy apparently being the new Jason, or at least a killer, wearing Jason's mask. - much like in Halloween part 4 where the girl becomes a killer at the end.

But just like with Halloween 5, F13 part VI completely forgets all about it as if it never happened. They just put him back in an asylum but with no acknowledgement to being a murder.

the "real" jason.. played by the same actor that plays jason when roy is supposed to be jason can be seen in dream sequences.. he has on his hockey with red markings there and he has the axe wound. the actor who played roy I belive never was in jason costume. funny thing though.. the "jason" who started the slow walking was "roy". he somewhat ran in the earlier films and did not walk against his victims until he became a zombie (part 6). maybe we can thank part 5 for the zombie-jason walk-style.

Part 5...I have mixed feelings. I love the more "mystery/suspense" style, I love the music, and I love the cheesy acting. But my problems were the weird goof-ups with the gore (Pete's terrible throat-slitting scene and Vince's flare in the mouth were particularly bad)-I mean, when Jason pulls the machete out of the guy and there's NO BLOOD? What?!? But overall, I'd give it a 5 out of 10.
