Aw cute foxes. U Know what's funny? The fact that people are arguing over a bunch of simple stuff. Foxes from the wild don't make good pets but there are people who breed and hand raise foxes to live domestically with humans. I've seen many people with pet foxes and they are both happy. Even i have the urge to keep a fox as a pet. If had one, i would treat it as if it was in the wild. Then eventually very soon, i would let go in the wild. even if it hurts to have a good friend disappear in your life. Atleast you know you had a little bit of happiness with it

I understand dogs and horses were domesticated a looooooong time ago. And I completely support the use of domestic animals by humans.

What I don't support is having an animal that's meant for the wild be domesticated and made into a house pet. Foxes, wolves, wild horses. Those are animals built from the ground up to survive in nature,they don't need people to feed them, and they don't want anything to do with us most of the time.

foxes are cute and have a personality. Therefore they can have a good relationship with humans. Rats are ugly, carry diseases, multiply like crazy, and are generally disgusting animals. Therefore their relationship with humans is generally bad.

Foxes arent canine, they branched off from dogs millions of years ago, they are canidae and rats didnt carry the black death, their fleas did so theoretically any living thing could have carried the black death.

2) foxes are not social creatures. Humans are social creatures, so I don't think foxes would make good pets in the same way as dogs.
