Hey quick question. I just brought a Sanyo Xacti CG10 HD the other week. But I was wonder what movie editor are you using?? and my videos have the black bars on the side how do I get rid of them and make it full widescreen, do you know?>?... thanks for your help.
I use a macbook and my editor program is iMovie. I'm not sure about the black bars though. There should be a setting on your editor to set how you want your video presented.
if ur exporting straight to youtube from imovie u cant get rid of the blk bars first u have to export to quicktime and the adjust the size of it under settings
you can use sony vegas i guess.. and there probably wont be black bars. if there are look it up on youtube. i think i once saw how to do it but i cant remember!
Movie maker for XP - No. The Sanyo formats recordings in mp4/hr264. Moviemaker only handles ASF, AVI, WMV. What you need is Windows LIVE movie maker (Vista only)
I like my xacti a lot but i hate the video quality in dim light. When I watch those on my computer its got like blatches of yellow and stuff in it. The quality in daylight kicks ass though and I like that I can use it as a pc cam. I just wish I could shoot more videos in dim light. What software do you use to edit your videos?
Yeah the dim lighting is a bit frustrating but you are spot on about the video being radiant during the daylight. Have you tried using the night shot version during low-light moments, that could help. As for editing, I just use iMovie on my Mac.
No I havent tryed the night shot yet. I'll have to give it a try and see if it helps. I have a pc and right now i'm just using media impression for kodak as my software. I didnt think I could use that for these videos since this software had came from my zi6 that I had but it did. I wanna get something better though.
Just hook the usb, select connect to computer, then select card reader, open up the folder, click the video you want and drag it over to your video folder. You can watch them in quicktime, itunes, or whatever software you use for your videos.
HD quality is pretty good but the image stabilizer is kind of an issue but you can't beat the price. I've heard the proprietory usb Sanyo is also an issue, but I am taking a chance and ordered it online.
Even with the stabilizer on it's shaky. And I have steady hand. And sometimes it appears shakier than when I used my old Flip Ultra. But like you say, the price is nice. To combat the mini USB, I'm seeing if I can use an SDHC reader, so I'll just pop it from my cam to the usb reader!
Yeah. I use to use a Flip Ultra, but it died a long time ago. Since then I've been using my Macbook's iSight, my Nokia cell phone, and my old digital camera's short video bursts to stitch up videos.
I use a Mac, so that was the biggest thing against the CG10, at first. I wasn't sure how my computer would receive it whereas with the Flip, I knew it could handle it. I was very close on getting the Flip Ultra HD; so glad I didn't. What I did was take video on the HD setting, used the cord to transfer it to my computer and just uploaded it!
Hm. Nice quality, it seems. I need a camera for my videos(although I only have one, yikes) so I'm not staring at a webcam. o.O DB, picture, plz! Kthxbai!
Clammy... *snicker* I was just looking at that picture where I.. asked for Clammy. LOL!
hay thats my cam :DDDD

It does not seem to perferm too bad with normal overhead lightbulb lighting... great - because this cam is just on its way to me :-D

what file format does this camcorder save movies as?

Flip Ultra HD is smaller but much shakier so the Sanyo is the better choice dude.

QUESTION:
What lighting did you use for this video?
JohnF30Music 1 year ago
@JohnF30Music
I think I had an over head lamp on to give me some shine
MichaelMidnight 1 year ago
I have the Flip Ultra HD and im returning it for that camera. The reason is the zoom that the Sanyo has and the fact that it takes a SD card.

Have a look at Pinnacle Studio ultimate collection 14 . It masters almost every format and has lots of amazing effects .

Sorry for the late response but @bkd2117 is spot on. Hopefully it worked and of course you could also just use a SD card reader too :D

Nice video! What kind of lighting were you in? My current camera (kadak zi6) only works in REALLY bright lights
alexasinalex 2 years ago
I believe I was using a lamp in my room. But just like your Zi6, the best video some from a space well lighted, especially by real sun light!

Love the quality how did you upload it? just raw file or did you render it on an editor? I just used Vegas and rendered as a 720p .wmv file.
