Is that the 13009 engine? Can't sell if it's scale, although the tender looks scale. The motor sounds like it's struggling. It has a 671 growl to it. I've been thinking about getting one. I picked up recently the 28064 Mohawk L-3A, but haven't received it yet.
I'm not sure of the exact number but i know it was made in 1991 and at the time it was the largest engine lionel has ever made. It was struggling when i had it run on the grade so i had it run on the "Lift Bridge line" (as i call it) The cars also needed some oil too.
Standard it's not really a set i just put it together because i wanted to a passenger train because i was filming mostly freight the cars go with the Commodore Vanderbilt and in that video (of the Commodore Vanderbilt) i use the same observation car

Mine just suffered a gear box malfunction. The whole thing has been rebuilt once already since it came from the factory bad

That's a beauty. Is that set traditional, or standard size?
