a normal crankshaft when rotating has 2 pistons at the top and 2 pistons at the bottom, on the '09--> R1's theres 1 piston at the top, 1 on the way down, 1 at the bottom and 1 comming up. Hope my explanation makes sense

When you install a full exhaust system, the Air Fuel Ratio needs to be adjusted in order for the bike to run properly and prevent damage to the motor. During the same process, the tech will adjust the AFR to achieve the most power without getting too rich or too lean. The third task- they will re-adjust once again to create a smoother and more linear power curve. This means the throttle response will be smooth, with little to no abruptness, peaks or dead spots as the Revs build.

Why would a Japanese brand go after an Italian, if the Japanese have been in front anyway for the last 40 years anyway :D By the way an R1 in real life sounds similar to a V4 not a V2, and has a wet clutch, so it doesn't make that rattle that the most of the Ducatis... Ducatis look nice, but the Japanese are faster and more reliable. End of story.

Quality is not better on a Ducati, they only use more expensive materials like carbon and titanium more often, but it shows in the price also...

I love bikes, no matter what brand or country, while riding, I wink to everyone on a bike , no matter if he has a 30 years old MZ 125 or a brand new Desmosedici. Let's stick to that. (a Honda CBR1000RR 07 rider)

They actually copied the sound of the motoGP yamahas as close as they could while maintaining a reliable and "useable" motor for the street.

Oh, and Ducati uses plastic also...

Ducati is no longer the "exclusive" brand it once was believed to be. They're affordable and there are tons of them on the road. If you want to feel special, go get a MV-AGUSTA F4RR.

Better yet, get a F4CC; its $120,000 and only 100 were made.

My friend has the exact same set up pc5 full exhaust same year bike and he has 155 to the rear wheel on a dyno..NO way is this getting 190 to the rear wheel.. with the ecu flashed you would get max 10 more hp so 165 max
