There was also a guy who got so frustrated went into the cinema and riot. i do remember when was in standard one until form 3, i have chinese and indian friends, we eat, we play, we study together, and during raya, deepavali and CNY we went to each others'. Politicians STOP!

It's definitely the May 13 riots.
It was a dark time for Malaysia, and was caused by politicians inflaming racial hatred.
Some things never change after 40 years.

I don't think that's the 13th May tragedy.
I don't know what really happened to the Chinese family but I'm sure it was not the 13th May tragedy.

It was in 194x that Japanese came to Malaya. That TV shows it obviously after Merdeka.

The May 13 was first spread in KL and some Malays kampung and subsequently spread to whole Malaysia couple of days later.
