I remember, back in 1987 and 1988, Lacroix was all over in the magazines. I was astonished by the shapes, the patterns, the colours, the prints... My passion for fashion, for beautiful handmade dresses, embroideries and details started in that period. The style was optimistic, full of life! Christian Lacroix is a reference forever, for me and for my work, the most influential designer / couturier, after YSL. A great talent. Too sad that Haute Couture it's disappearing.
In 1947 Dior presented the New Look and change the world. For my generation 1987 was the same, Lacriox brought back the passion and the fantasy. These selections have been put together so thoughtfully and really do compile the essence of his work. Bravo I remember so many of those dresses, and the whole feeling makes me remember why I fell in love with fashion!
