Overclock on AMD Sempron Processor - Bios on Max!

Is it possible to overclock a amd sempron 140 thats at 2.7 ghz to 3.3 ghz?

Amd processors are awesome,two moths ago i was using an Athlon xp 2500+ 1.8ghz lol,until i upgrade to an sempron 140 unlocked to Athlon ii x2 overclocked to 3.5ghz,you gotta love AMD

i have sempron 2800+ 1.6ghz and i reached 2.2ghz with temp 45C with normal cooling

the 1.8 it si stock ? but were is the overclock ? i have 1.6 stock and i don't know what frequency i cand reach 10x

@Smecherul89 youre referring to the multiplier. on regular cpus, so no black editions, its locked.

on 1.6ghz cpus its locked to 8x. all you can do is increase the bus speed from 200 mhz up to for instance 250 to gain 400mhz overclock (2ghz).

i overclocked mine to 2.1 GHz Stable but kinda hot 43C When gaming around 50-55C :( need a better heat sink, i needa spen like 60 bucks on it

it's amd sempron, and i cant rly go any higer, the highest i can go is 2.3 than when i try to go 2.4 my system crashes

no it isnt. I fried a athlon xp @3.1 ghz fastest recorded oc for that model was 3.2 ghz :( . that was 1.6ghz stock. 2.3 ghz is probably the fastest you will get because much more and the voltage struggles. If you want to overclock get another cpu because semprons have barely any cache.

@Gabumon404 it is safe when you have good cpu cooler or water cooling, cause if you don't have your cpu might overheat
