It all depends o the effort u put in 2 making a nice costume. If some1 doesnt have the same body-type/build as the characer their cosplaying, its fine as long as the costume still looks good (in other words, dont bash on fat-chicks or skinny guys!)

I prefer cosplay that is close to 100% accurate as though the actor would be in a movie. The Japanese are the best ones, but almost never convincing when it comes to playing different races. This is just me, but I'd love to see them as though the characters were real.
