  • Having equipment & a Serato Box doesn't make you a DJ! All DJ's learned from somewhere! The thing about being a DJ, is that there is always room to learn ! No dj is perfect ! I go by the name DJ M.S and DJ AM was my role model. I started about 2 years ago and I have done clubs, parties, Weddings etc... Im one of philadelphia's Up-N-Coming DJ! I'm 19 years old and deff still can learn a lot but knowing the past of DEejaying and how it connects to now can teach you a great deal! So my words of ad

  • i went there it was fun and easy to learn only about 50$ AND learn how to dj easyily

reccomend to anyone :D or go to beaches turks and caicos a hotel and theres a 2 day lesson of scratching mixing and baby scratching looping and other things! i loved it

  • theres to many dj's nower days...

it makes i harder for over dj's to get work..

    now i no why..

coz theres class's like these going about...

fair enough some 1 may want to no how to dj and scratch etc...

but i would not big up this academy....

thank god its only in america

  • I self taught myself, I think its the best way because it challenges you more and makes you understand it more. The main challenge is finding the music, especially if you are 100% independant and have nobody else you know who is into electronic music to tell you about artists and stuff.

  • hell yea nigga i thought my self just by hearing dj screw and dj micheal 5000 watts scratching on da tapes ill just try to immitate da sound

  • jai!!

  • Check out our video interview with DJ Joey, of Massapequa! Based on this video, we think you might really enjoy it!

  • HAHAHAHAAH dude...200s not gona go far lol you can get a ok mixer i guess 200 is like 1 turntable and a ok one too.

  • Im strapped for cash , but want to be a dj

    I can save up to 200$ but thats it,though i want a decent setup.What should I do?

  • your gonna need more than $200 to have anything other than a cheap dual deck. Your gonna need about 500-700 toget set up with a serato/finalscratch/traktor system and a turntable. Atleast you wont have to buy vinyl at $10 a pop.

  • first you have to get technics turntables and some waxand u have to practice for a long time mixing and scratching

  • i want to be dj what can i do? are there anyone who wants to help me ?

  • buy turntables and a mixer.. and practice... there is more than enough tutorials on you tube.... oh and practice and then practice again..

  • Hey crazychickenboy, I'm in the same spot as heemanyak. You think I can learn through Youtube only? Or, you think going to one of these academies would do better?

  • theres no point wasting money and going to a dj school, use qberts instructional videos on youtube, start with the very basics and practice alot and you should be fine :)

  • Thanks bud.

  • I bought my first set of tables after watching ellaskins (watch him!!) I learned JUST from YOUTUBE! I've been DJing now for almost a year and now I own some new Technics and god know's how much vinyl. I'll definiately be doing this for life. Get into it
