  • Good question, sorry for the 11 months that took to answer. The rotation in the hip occurs as the legs are prepositioned in cross-over lunge. Limitation in internal rotation of the hip will push the front knee out and the athlete will lose his balance. Hip internal rotation is very important ability for a skier. Hope that cleared the poor explanation a bit.

  • He never explained the purpose of the movement. Was it to loosen up his IT band? I can't get a read on this movement.
