  • The shot on the dog is sad... it almost seems purposeful. Like "he could of killled... eh.. oh well."

  • I think it's a good provocative road safety ad' that goes for the psychological element very strongly, but I think the message is lost a little with the length of the ad. If they went straight from the bus passenger to the car it would have been more effective and then using some or all of the spare 10 seconds for a longer shot of his dangerous driving. It'd get a reckless driver's attention or a parent, but I think this ad was a lost opportunity with a good idea.

  • I get the whole speeding is bad but he was not even around most of the people the ad said he was going to kill when he was on the rode. That's the part I don't get

  • @ThePinkBlob123 The problem is that you are taking the ad literally at face value. It's not meant to be that he will kill the people shown in the video, it's a more general "you could kill people like these" - it's supposed to make you stop and think about your behaviour.

  • its not about speed its about how you can control your car if you are able to handle it then you be fine

  • @ChrisBennett18 No, no, and no again. No matter how good a driver you are, you have to account for the unexpected.

  • @wuzzlevideos i never said you need to be a good driver all i said is how you handle your car and be paying attention so that you can avoid the unexpected

  • @ChrisBennett18 Yes but if you're going too fast, then there's too much energy, and you'll come off worse.

  • @wuzzlevideos oh well if people use common sense an can slow down around corners and curves

  • Let me tell you a little something. Ek = (mv^2)/2. That little v-squared means that your speed has a QUADRATIC effect on the damage you do. Two meters per second (7.2kph), two times the mass of your vehicle. 10m/s (36 kph), a hundred times. 17m/s (61kph), 145 times. 36 m/s, (120 kph), 1304 times. 44 m/s (158 kph), almost two thousand times.

    Need I say more?

  • @1RadicalOne I can wholeheartedly support more maths talk on my uploads. In fact, if people want to start mathing out the accidents in the footage and we can see which ads get it right and which get it wrong, that would be quite fascinating.

  • I was actually considering making my own sort of PSA-like video, using the mathematical modeling behind these events as the foundation (and with a healthy serving of LTNZ-style shock value). :)

  • thought it was about war or something... being prepared to kill in the army, turned out to be a driving ad...

  • it's difficult to feel sorry for drink drivers. But not doubt they are as screwed by this pig system as all are here, whether they know it or not

  • shes gonna die because of that ginger bread man ROFL

  • that maori bloke in the singlet would kill this guy easy

  • Is that in Browns Bay on the north shore??

  • this suks all what we need is not buying a car that will also save us money

  • I know the asian lady in the bakery! she used to give me free shit all the time.

  • i dont even know why i am watching adverts about car accident but i am and i have to say they seem to be getting better. this one was brilliant.

i have constant goosebumps while i am watching them. very well made.

    x

  • Note it didn't say anything on the shot of the dog. He could of killed the dog too.

  • LOL

  • What a cute wee girl! I could not really sit through this ad, it took to long to get to the point

  • Pity these ads dont really sink into some people, still see far too many people still driving like complete tools!

  • took a while to get to the point but good anyway.
