I live in Finland and I visited some relatives in San Diego last week. WHAT A FANTASTIC CITY! I absolutely love it. I can see why it's called "America's finest city." I will definitely go back as soon as I can. If you live in San Diego you live in a real paradise! :)

SDSU is about a half an hour drive from the downtown area depending on traffic, and USD is about a 45 minute drive from there. Can't really compare SBU to the others since I've never been in the Santa Barbara area.

Boy are you way off.  During rush hour traffic SDSU is about 15 minutes at most, so is UCSD (google map it and check the mileage). And USD is too close to count. Shave 5 minutes off for other times of day. You can cross the entire county north to south in 45 minutes going 55 mph. Trust me I work downtown and drive the rush hour past SDSU every day.

i've lived here all my life, its really expensive but its worth it..theres some ghetto parts of san diego for sure, idk bout the bloods and crips, thats mainly in LA, but we have gangs here. of course theres mexican gangs cuz were right next to mexico but its pretty safe here in SD.

I'm originally from Alabama and currently living in Las Vegas. I also lived in San Diego for 6 years (Navy). I've been lots of places but nowhere on Earth is as beautiful and as live as San Diego. The Gaslamp District on weekends, the beautiful beaches, TJ right across the boarder, Sea World, LA and Orange County not too far away including Six Flags, Disney Parks, Knotts Berry Farms, Lego Land etc.... There's no better place to be not even Vegas.

I really miss San Diego. I wasn't born there, but lived there 27 yrs of 34 yrs of my life. I moved to Dallas, because it was cheap, but it's nothing compared to San Diego. Cheapness feeds unfriendly, unhappy, toxic citizens. I feel like I live in NYC, but at least, I dig people of NYC. People in Dallas in general are just plain MEAN!!!

It's a big world with a lot of great places to visit and live in - I have been fortunate to travel to most of the continents and have lived in a bunch of beautiful states. The bottomline is that I grew up in San Diego and it will forever have that special place in my heart . . . . and probably my soul - surfing, lifeguarding, going to school and my friends. Take my word for it - there is no other place like it.

I live in San Diego. It is a great place, but, it has some issues. I hate how San Diego does not have seasons. 90 degrees on December 25th has happened more than 1 time. Don't get me wrong, it is a great place. I have gone across the country and there is not 1 place like San Diego.
