The song is kind of tricky. Can they video be about them being God? Now the song is called God in me. Well if the song was called God is in me, then they are talking about God being inside them. Yet it said the God in me so they are talking about them being god. They have the power and they show it through their clothes and the money they have. One lady writes a check with a whole lot of zeroes and she ends being the heroe. Well if God is in them, then God did the works through God.

You can call the sinners to repentance without making them feel justified in their sins and courting their favor. So my brother, when another believer confesses Christ God does all the work in them and the Holy Spirit guides and teaches them in all things. God fulfills his purpose through his vessels however he wants to. So when I hear Mary Mary or any other artist that confesses Christ I listen to what my spirit receives and not my what feelings speak.
It's the enemy that has them singing songs that allow the listener to feel justified in their sins. Someone that is successful has God in them, someone wants to copy your style, so that's God in you? That's just plain false and every Lie is of the devil.MaryMary are becoming more wordly by the day because they are chasing after sucess this song is just the tip watch it get worse, they're already dressing like wordly women on award shows showing off their bodies.
I can see that you are very sincere in how you feel and what you believe regarding this whole Mary Mary - God-In -Me issue. I still disagree the Lord has shown me that in the body we are all at different stages and some on different "levels" so to speak. So for example, one person in christ has a relationship and has an issue with let's say.. smoking. There are some Christians who will look at the other and say that that person is not a Christian because he/she is smoking.
It would be my flesh that would speak on how somebody looks versus the message that the Holy Spirit is giving me. I don't know what other people think because I am not them but in my heart I am getting all good things come from the Lord (tangible and intangible) and I know that it is the Jesus in me that they see even if they think its the "cute stuff" that made someone want to know how I got what "they think I got" and as soon as they ask me I am gonna tell them about Jesus.

Jesus was preaching the Gospel to them convicting them of sin he wasn't just hanging with them and telling the tax collectors and the prostitutes that their prosperity was due to the God in them. You can call the sinners to repentance without making them feel justified in their sins and courting their favor. Maybe you are new to the faith and are a victim of modern Christianity but what Christ taught about riches is the toatl opposite of what this song teaches.

We need to pray for Mary Mary as they attempt to minister to folks, we do need to examine and call out mistakes they make too, especially with their dress they are wearing some pretty tight stuff and the word of God is clear, we are to be set apart and different when people look at us we should appear humble and not flashy, we also should run a comb through our hair though and not look broken down either. So it is a fine line that we need to walk. It's not a cut and dry thang as anyone can see.

First of all Jesus didn't hang with Mary da Ho. Jesus preached repentance and Mary Repented in Tears. Jesus called people out of sin, he didn't HANG with sinners like the pharisees mistakenly accused him of he called them 2 repentance totally different from what Mary Mary is doing with Kanye + celebs who don't repent and tell them to give God lip service by saying it's the God in me. i don't think i ever say having things is wrong it's the ideal that God is in someone that has things is wrong.

I believe you are coming from a sincere place. There has to be time for growth and maturity. You are correct. Common may have accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. That would be wonderful. We have just been taught wrong for so long we think successful = god's blessing. Not saying you but a lot of us had this teaching. So we equate 'good things' with god's anointing. Somethings that a person does has nothing to do with God. Read the whole letter of 1st john you probably can do that in less than half an hour. I still disagree the Lord has shown me that in the body we are all at different stages and some on different "levels" so to speak. So for example, one person in christ has a relationship and has an issue with let's say.. smoking. There are some Christians who will look at the other and say that that person is not a Christian because he/she is smoking.

Give God the glory for the "way they dress", what on earth does that mean? I give God the glory because I have clothes regardless of whether I can afford Gucci or not. Dude are you serious? So when someone gets saved and cannot afford Gucci, will God be in them? its not a good Christian message and as I said most Christians are not living their lifestyle so it send a bad message that spending time with God results is being able to write checks with a lot of 0's! come on man!

First off, the deciples sold what they had and gave, so that they could recieve treasure in heaven, which would not be corrupted by this world's system. Also, they sold what they had, so that those that were in the early church would have their needs met. Those early saints had jobs as idol makers and when they got saved, they had to leave their jobs.

Running to the store and spending your money to try to keep up with an materialistic world is not how you show that God is in you. Our hearts even today are to be set in heaven. I said, SOME of the early saints were doing those types of jobs and this is why they had no money. I just told you that you don't have to spend your money to get clothes. All you have to do is GIVE. I gave away about 5pairs of AIR FORCE ONES, several pairs of JORDANS, a whole bunch of "throwback kicks" that were super fresh, POLO shirts, designer suits, and a whole lot of MONEY, and as a result, my closet SICK!(SUITS,URBAN GEAR, AND KICKS)

He said for us to let our light shine before all men that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven. Good works are feeding the poor , being merciful, walking in the truth, turning the other cheek, loving your brother as yourself(this is how the world will know you are a disciple of Christ). Also, when you got the blessing on your life, and you are a giver, you will recieve provision from other recources. I got a closet FULL of clothes that were GIVEN to me. I always find myself going somewere and someone walks up to me and say "hey, i want to bless you with these Jordans, or i want to "sow" these clothes into your life. I'm living holy and i STAY LOOKIN' FLY and i cant remember the last time i went to the mall and spent money on clothes!
