it makes me sick the veil of lies that is used to cover this debilitating disease. My boyfriend has this and it is not a joke. As hard as it is to watch, thank you for sharing
I also have lyme, and they (the doctors) dont know it in his totaly I can't stand out that people want to hugh me becaus we most be strong for the bacteria we most fight
her we most consentrate up te inner thats wy we do so, wenn animals are sick they also going in defence because they are week. thats wat the litle girl does here I hope that everything iss goiing well now much love and light for her. rita sorry for the bad englis
I have chronic Lyme which has caused hypothalmic disregulation meaning that I cannot handle heat and my body cannot cool itself. I've watched this a few times now, and I think part of the pain she is experiencing is due to being overheated. I know it's been a year and a half since you posted this film, but if she is still exhibiting this pattern of behavior, try placing her in the tub with a few inches of cool water and a pail she can use to scoop and pour onto herself with. It might help.
Thank you for sharing this difficult moment. I have an 18 month old begining to show signs on the autistic spectrum. We have now added lyme disease to our list of initial tests we are conducting in spite of three dr.s blowing it off when i told them i had it and we live in a tick infested area. My daughter does not do this sort of thing, but we are leaving no rocks left unturned. Thank you for your post.
Really really sad, just exactly how I was acting when I was so sick of Lyme..
You can go nowhere with the feeling you have in your body, I was 30 years old and I crawl on the floor, I wanted to jump out of the window and fall hard with my head on the floor outside(and I live 3 high), just to get rid of the feeling that I couldn't handle, it was way to much for a human being.
Just crawling an crying and crying..yes I will never forget that.
she also seemed to have an affinity for the air vent. I don't know if that means anything. The way she was crawling around and 'waving' her legs on the chair made me think of restless legs. If it is/was Lyme it could also be pain, Lyme rage, anxiety, or hallucinations, but I'd guess restless legs or pain. I admit I"m not a parent and I don't know autism. Anyway, the best of luck to you and her.
OMG poor baby! I have Lyme Disease too and it's good to hear that your daughter is getting antibiotics now. Just bear in mind though that there is no "one size fits all" approach to treatment, even antibiotics vary so it's always worth reading up and keeping up to date on which meds work best for which symptoms and also how to lessen the side effects. Please keep us updated on her progress.
This is hard to watch. I paused it because I couldnt watch it all. My daughter is 22 months old now and my worst fear is what I just saw. She seems to be trying to back out of the pain. Go to a Lyme Literate doctor. Believe me when I say that not all doctors are SMART. Some are so stupid they think their GOD. Take care of yourself and her. Keep us posted because Im not going to forget this girl.
This is so sad... She will be in my prayers. Wrote a LYME brochure with the help of 2 Lyme specialists. Will gladly email to anyone interested. There is GREAT resource info at the end.
when i saw this i cried for an hour. my son looked just like this 7 months ago. almost exactly, 2 months later he had lost all speech, and was given rx of autism. i now wish i knew about lyme-induced-autism then. please call the dr tell them about the bite and make them give you anti-biotics. if treated early enough it can be very effective. or you might end up in my shoes crying over a video, because you realize she was hurting not being bad, like everyone told me. please act quickly.
I'm so sorry to hear about your son. Are you treating him for lyme-induced-autism now? My son is ASD as well, so I know how devastating it can be.
Fortunately, I was able to get my daughter on antibiotics about 6 weeks after the bite. We are also persuing biomedical and DAN treatment for her, even though she isn't showing the neurological signs of ASD. But she definately has the same biological issues as her ASD brother.
I just read that in Autism circles, there is some connecion with Lyme Disease. Lomatium is being used, then the MMS, I have been getting some results. The diffiuclt part is staying away from sugar and fruits. They exacerbate symptoms. I hear grains do as well.
When she went to the rocking chair she got very clam. That is what she is craving movement and not touch. Hang a swing from the inside of your home somewhere where she likes to be. I promise it will help. I can give you info about the swing just e-mail me. Also Please check out Lymeornot on you tube. I begg you to read these it may help. As it did my children. This is Lyme and austium. My daughter does the same thing. Does your daughter ever turn blue then pass out? Thanks for the video.
I had Lyme Disease this summer. I cried really hard because everything hurt so much. I heard recently that autism and Lyme Disease are related. I found that very interesting. I'm not saying she has autism, but autistic kids generally don't want to be touched, either.
Yes, you are right. It seems that a number of children with autism may also have Lyme as well. My 3 year old son has autism and is on his way to recovery. My daughter has many of the same biological issues as children with autism, but by the grace of God, isn't showing symptoms.
@sherimiller75 Sherri, you probably already know this but, Lyme Disease can be passed from mother to child during pregnancy. Often times the the mother has Lyme disease (unknowingly) and that is how it is transmitted. Not by a tick. Lyme disease does cause birth defects and severe complications. Have you ever been tested by a LL doctor-a western blot test? I myself have lyme and have not been bit by a tick that I can ever recall. I've also heard from LLMD that mosquitos can transmit it too.
this really makes me angry when will the stubborn docs wake up to this diease. I am sorry and ashamed for all the dumb docs out there that read Journals and know nothing about Lyme Disease.
Your daughter is beautiful and my heart goes out to you both. I have video of my daughter at that age having the same meltdown. She was diagnosed with an infection at the time. She is now 10 and was just diagnosed with Lyme disease. We don't know how long she has had it. She also has autism and epilepsy but was a normal baby who regressed at 17 months then again at 3 yrs old. I hope your daughter is doing well now. It is so hard to see your child in so much pain.
I live in sweden with my daughter and we went to Arizona and get treatment for Lyme, antibiotics for 1 year. She was just like your daughter. My daughter is 5 y old. I can see on the film that your daughter have terrible pain probably in her knees, she tries to get crawl and run away from the pain. My daughter did not want to be touched either. But now when she is better she loves hugs. Go and see an ILADS doctor and get her antibiotics and painkiller!! God bless and good luck.
My daughter is 12 years old and she did this after contracting Lyme due to a tick bite, as well. But she's cured now with no evidence of Lyme titers in her blood thanks to a huge course of Doxicycline. My daughter did NOT want to be touched either because her entire body ached, her head was pounding, her joints stung and just having clothes on and the regular muscle contractions of _breathing_ hurt. Get antibiotics and Tylenol, STAT. God bless.

This just remembered me of the time that I was so ill of Lyme.
I also crawled on the floor and just couldn't handle the way I was feeling, it was to much, way to much for a human being to handle.
I cried and I cried, for day's for months, it was awfull.
I was 30 years old and I cried like a baby and was crawling in front of a doctor in the hospital, begging me to help me..
That I will never forget. I thank God that he made me better.
Feel sorry for this child..poor thing..

Poor baby. I just found out I have Lyme after being sick for over 12 years. I'm nearly 30 and am getting my three young children tested for Lyme.
Did your daughter receive adequate treatment? How is she doing now?
Take care
