  • do you not see how music is one of the most powerful forms of communication? great job, the soul comes through!

  • beautiful

  • i am so glad my brother introduced me to this wonderful man's music. i've had other people listen to it, but none of them want to because of the way he recorded his tapes. they don't know what they're missing.

  • Wow!... He's amazing in every single way.

  • amo a este hombre y su sencillez... chale, ama a alguien que no le amó nunca... maldita sea que miserable soy... jaja

  • I think what most people appreciate about daniel is his honesty, and sincerity.

    he's really telling a story

  • I was happy to find Daniel covering someone else, not being covered. Knowing his story, makes this version all the more compelling.Beautiful

  • hey smirch, what band do YOU play in? Can we hear/laugh at them on Youtube???

  • I meant to hit thumbs up on your comment and hit down... Please - someone hit thumbs up for me.. at least two of you to set it right . Its his emotion that comes through.. and mostly, Mr Johnston reminds me to write lyrics (and keep them) without giving a $%^& what others might think - I have yet to get there. Peace

  • You are a dumbass...do you know how many people cover his shit!?!?!

  • Haha, even if it was some old drunk dude doing Karaoke, I would buy his music.

  • I get sucked in slowly. At first his voice seems far worse than when he was younger. Then I just watched a Beatles' version of this on youtube... expecting to love it... it was good. Then I came back and watched this again, and found myself almost crying listening to Daniel. So weird... I started going into another dimension.

  • its strange that musicly he isnt particuarly talented, but i find his music so compelling and interesting and deep. shows how music isnt always about musicianship.

  • It's because your emotions are carried on the sound of your voice. If you don't know what the song means, you can't sing it so it sounds true. You have to first connect with the song emotionally to sing it.

  • you are completely wrong there. That is Daniel Johnston. Not some "drunk old dude at karaoke." Check him out.

  • don't be immature.

  • don't be immature.

  • you dont get him or his lyrics or his story... CONNECT

  • hes daniel johnston!!!! v original look up 'casper the friendly ghost' by him

  • u r a twat, this guy is an actual legend. u r so ignorant and un-informed its hilarious!!!!

  • I understand what you're saying, and I hate pretentious peckers as much as you do. But I suggest listening to 'Walking The Cow' by Daniel johnston, and putting all biases aside. It's really something.

  • wow

    fucking beautiful!

  • this is good :D love daniel johnston.

  • This man is incredible.

  • Iv been listening to Daniel Johnstons music for years without knowing who it was because i picked the cd up randomly and it was blank. the devil and daniel johnston opened my eyes and confirmed that i was crazy listening to his musci and likeing it, there are millions of us, abslute living legend without any doubt, just what i needed because i was gettin ab it tired of relentlessly listnein to dyaln and beatles amongst much much more

  • Adorable and dear. I must be emtional because I almost cried. lol. Ima dork.

  • and I can't spell. emotional.

  • I removed the spam comments about Daniels nerve problems.

  • You're an asshole man. He's got nerve problems from the shit load of medication they gave him when he was in an asylum for manic depression. Watch interviews, you'll still see him shaking.

But the beat is indeed nice.

  • This is really good. I'm like in love with The Beatles.

  • Wow...keep your divas...Daniel Johnston can get more out of a song accidentally than 99% of the rest of us trying.

  • i love you daniel. thank you for giving us this.

  • You can really feel it with Daniel's Beatles covers.

  • so true

  • I disagree with the idea that he's a loser. feeling the beatles covers in the sense that i think (i might speak for some) in the sentiment that he invokes much of the "spirit" of the Beatles in his renditions of their songs. I can understand though if it doesn't do it for You, but I don't understand why you'd be so quick to label him a "loser" he's written some incredible songs, i think one can only "gain" from that.

  • I agree. I was being silly. I really like true love will find you in the end.
