I usually hate it when people say things like this, but I'm only doing it as a sort of reference. It looks almost like a mix of Assassin's Creed (setting and combat), Dante's Inferno (crusaders, demons, etc) and a medieval Army of Two (co-op gameplay). This should make an interesting game, I'm definately gonna check it out.

In my opinion it isn't a true succes cause it envolves only small battles . It doesnt take your mind and soul into the real time of crusades. I onestly prefer a more simple game such as mount and blade ..

This game has only two similarities to Assassins Creed, those being that it has templars and that it is set during a crusade. It ends at that though, because this is set during the fourth crusade, which never reached the holy land, and AC1 was set during the third crusade.
The gameplay has no relation at all, afterall do you see this guy jumping from building to building? No, so why is it the same? because it has swords, well let me say this, ubisoft did not come up with the idea of a sword.

This is related to assassins creed. You play as a templar back in the time were ezio was. You take the role as Denz (the templar) who joins mercenary estaban.There is going to be co-op if you want a friend to tag along.Best thing is that it'll end up in the same lines as assassins creed 2 (renaissance italy). This game is in no way ripping off Assassin's Creed. One, Assassin's Creed takes place during the Thrid Crusade in 1191. The Cursed Crusade takes place during the Fourth Crusade which didn't start until 1202. One needs to do his research before he speaks.
Look at those menacing swordsmen standing around waiting for the PC to finish killing their friend. How... very dumb. If you're going to copy a game and place it in a different setting, why pick Assassin's Creed? Why not copy Unreal Tournament and make that medieval? Endless bitching about longbow users on Facing_Castles, capture the Princess gamemode, and camping the Trebuchet artillery strike pickup. THAT is something worth making.

Emphasis mine. Also, Muhammed got a page, Jesus got a paragraph.

Templars were warrior monks. Their primary job was to protect pilgrims on their way to the Holy Land. They also stored their belongings for safe keeping and are credited with laying the foundations for the modern banking system. Y'know, people, this is the internet. If you know how to use a search engine you can find out all you want to know about them. You don't know how stupid it looks to see people arguing about this when all the info in the world is as close as a mouse click.

Sure the Templar were the good guys, because slaughtering civilians and fighting wars over land with no particular value over adjacent land aside from "my god told me it was holy" is clearly the act of noble hero fighting for good.
Not that the Muslim armies were any better, they both were equally horrible human beings.
And the assassin forces were hypocrites, they fought for a religion and smoked hashish after battle when the religion they fought for was against drug usage.

@ImperialGuard9001 not realy. when they sieged antioch manny of the people within the city were greeks and it was infact the greeks who let the crusaders into antioch to kill the muslims but the crusaders acidently killed many of their greek allies because it was so dark. they didnt see who they killed, they just charged in killing everyone untill they could claim the city. i'm sure there were many crusaders who did intentionaly kill those who were inocent but not all crusaders did such.

This game is in no way ripping off Assassin's Creed. One, Assassin's Creed takes place during the Thrid Crusade in 1191. The Cursed Crusade takes place during the Fourth Crusade which didn't start until 1202. One needs to do his research before he speaks.

Look at those menacing swordsmen standing around waiting for the PC to finish killing their friend. How... very dumb. If you're going to copy a game and place it in a different setting, why pick Assassin's Creed? Why not copy Unreal Tournament and make that medieval? Endless bitching about longbow users on Facing_Castles, capture the Princess gamemode, and camping the Trebuchet artillery strike pickup. THAT is something worth making.

Also, as this is a crusade game, and heavily influenced by religion, I will add this in as well: Muhammed proclaimed the word of Allah AS his instrument, while later on in the same book it said, and I quote: "Jesus of Nazerith traveled around CLAIMING to be the son of god". Emphasis mine. Also, Muhammed got a page, Jesus got a paragraph.
Now, I'm not religious, I am just saying it as I saw it. Don't call me a hater, fear-monger, what have you, that was in the book almost exactly as I wrote it

Templars were warrior monks. Their primary job was to protect pilgrims on their way to the Holy Land. They also stored their belongings for safe keeping and are credited with laying the foundations for the modern banking system. Y'know, people, this is the internet. If you know how to use a search engine you can find out all you want to know about them. You don't know how stupid it looks to see people arguing about this when all the info in the world is as close as a mouse click.

Sure the Templar were the good guys, because slaughtering civilians and fighting wars over land with no particular value over adjacent land aside from "my god told me it was holy" is clearly the act of noble hero fighting for good.
Not that the Muslim armies were any better, they both were equally horrible human beings.
And the assassin forces were hypocrites, they fought for a religion and smoked hashish after battle when the religion they fought for was against drug usage.

@TBSnerd Yeah i won't argue with that. What i was meaning more of in the game sense because of AC everyone thinks there natually horrible. In reality yes they did bad things but what they were doing they thought were "justified or right" from what they were promised by the pope. Thats what i was meaning sorry for the miss understanding. I mainly was trying to get everyone to stop talking about AC.

@ReplaytheMusic They were led by a Churches that decided invading the Middle East was a better idea than fighting civil war between themselves. Definitely not the "good guys" fighting for what they believed in. More of a way to keep war focused on heathens then on themselves. Also, they failed FOUR times.

@TheCritRocket the crusades was started because the muslims were starting agression in the holy land. they were treating christians verry unfairly, making harsh rules, attacking some christians. the muslims were also starting war with europes allie the byzantine empire. so europe decided to take the holy land for themselves and save the greeks from those muslim scum. if the muslims werent harrasing christians, and attacking their greek brothers, the crusades would not have happened.

@ninja909 Actualy it was just part of Muslims that was doing that the Asiatic Newly Converted Turks and in matter of fact the Turks lost Jerusalem to the Fatimists from Egypt when Crusaders arrived in Holy Land by now the Christians were again treated fairly and alow to pilgramated the Fatimists hadnt attacked anny Roman Empire terrotory or being at war with them but still that didnt stop Crusaders from attacking jerusalem and slauthering every jew and muslim until blood run to their knees

@ImperialGuard9001 I dont know what crusade you're talking about, so far I've onely researched the first crusade fully and none of what you mentioned was said. the muslims started agression in the holy land, harrassing christians and starting violence and making harsh laws for christians then the muslims were waging war with the greeks, the crusaders sieged nicea, antioch, and jerusalem. they killed inocent people yes but mostly cause they invaded at night and couldnt see who was inocent or not

@ninja909 I was talking about the First Crusade and "Muslims" wasnt a unified country it was religion of various peoples one of most recent were Asiatic Turks those were ones that made harsher lawas to christians and attack the Roman Empire the Arabic Muslims were far more tolerant if you look to places such as Egypt at the time Fatimists never persecuted Christians and they were ones that defend Jerusalem and Crusaders didnt care they still slauther them all

@ImperialGuard9001 not realy. when they sieged antioch manny of the people within the city were greeks and it was infact the greeks who let the crusaders into antioch to kill the muslims but the crusaders acidently killed many of their greek allies because it was so dark. they didnt see who they killed, they just charged in killing everyone untill they could claim the city. i'm sure there were many crusaders who did intentionaly kill those who were inocent but not all crusaders did such.

@ninja909 Greeks you mean Armenians... Greeks were exiled form the city and so were Armenians but some of them staid still some were converteds to or false converts like Firouz the Armenian that let the Crusaders in.
The only Christians that were officialy allowed to say were the Syrian ones

@ezc623 Yes i made the mistake of putting that i was meaning it in the gaming sense. In there minds they were "good guys" they were stopping christian oppression in the holy lands and openning up the lands for people to visit, but that being said. That doesn't mean they didn't do bad things My whole point was just trying to get everyone to stop comparing this to AC thats all it was never my intention to offend someone by saying templars were the best people in the world.

People who were fighting for their belief in taking other people's land because it was mentioned in a book. It is also true that while not every crusader was a rapist/murderer/thief/child molester there were enough of them that myths and legends and conspiracies aside they were NOT "good" guys

@ReplaytheMusic Actually you are wrong templars fought mainly for money. They actually were more well known for the banking than combat prowess. They actually got quite rich until friday 13th, when they were all arrested and burned at the stake
