  • I want this for my game boy!! >8D

  • haha hilarious

  • noiceee O_O i would buy it even now n_n

  • This would be cool back in the day, like for a GBA version lol

  • gives me a bad urge to play ff7 haha

  • OMG THIS IS SO WELL DONE!

  • this is very well done

  • why does 3:52 start sounding like pokemon

  • I remember when FF started. Mini characters and now amazing graphics!!! :D

  • this would be so *groundbreaking* in 87'

  • This is too funny!

  • 5:15 Cloud swallowed some of Sephiroth's cum...

  • Awww this really takes me back to when i played this game...I actually cried for Aeris! *tear*

  • it always broke my heart to see aeris die T.T

  • >Barrett in lucky sevens mode

    Sephiroth is toast

  • dude.. i really enjoyed this video.

  • now I'd like to see a ten years later version.

  • @Stellerman7 Watch advent children. Pretty much the same thing. XD

  • Great Job :)

  • 2:24 Where did Sephiroth come from?

  • even with crap graphics this game is awesome. A true awesome game lol.

  • lol like an atari game :)

  • I may have to Agree on this one...

  • Wow!!

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • btw this was pretty cool for all us games. ty

  • also.... thou hath dont well in defeating the slime. =)

  • from what i heard they did try doing ff7 on a cartrege but it was so garbage square couldnt do it and it was a very eairly beta at the time so they left nintendo becasue of it since they didnt want to do disk yet and we ended up getting the magic of the ps1 version because of nintendos folly

  • how the fuck did u do this its mint :)

  • Still a better game than the crap come companies sell nowadays, pure 8 bit epicness xD

  • 8-bit One Winged Angel makes me giddy. *-*

Now make "FF7 If Ten Years Later." Yeah!

  • Awesome job!

  • the music is what really sells me on it

  • Damn great job man...

  • I would of loved this game back in the day, Good job :)

  • nice

  • Even in 8-bit Aeris' Theme still gets me. :,(

  • OMG...sound like the game boy color

  • You could have used way better graphics... and you could have used the default music, since it was MIDI anyway.

  • @loasolidsnakemgs Yes, I could, but I didn't.

  • @motakay Sounds closer to NES tones your way.

  • @motakay 8 bit music its really the right thing u have done :D great editing

  • @loasolidsnakemgs do you even know what FF1 or other games in 1987 were like? As for the drawn graphics, they are way too detailed to fit that time. The NES was limited to displaying 16 colors out of a 52 color palette at the same time. So the graphics are, if anything, too GOOD. The sound is pretty accurate, for comparisson: you could fit ONE second of an MP3-track in a NES-cartridge's memory.

Maybe head to gametrailers, watch the FF Retrospective and educate yourself?

  • @loasolidsnakemgs in older systems less instruments could be played simultaneously. So no ps midis couldnt be played on a system 10 years previous.

  • @loasolidsnakemgs The original music was midi, but not the same kind of midi the NES used. PS1 midis were way more advanced. This is dead-on NES. You have ears, right?

  • @loasolidsnakemgs no way this seems way more epic!.

  • @loasolidsnakemgs Damn, what an asshole.

  • I am the visitor #50000

  • ff7 would still be my favourite final fantasy game ever even if it was stick men!

  • @RomanStar94 Assuming it was even given a chance with stick men.

  • Nice job on the vid, i agree with you one hundred percent, considering the fact when that was the time when zack in crisis core was kicking ass.

  • gameboy color version :P

  • AMAZING !!! THE BEST OF THE GAME OF THE WORLD !!

  • its 8 bit so it should be 15 to 20 years earler

  • Nice idea but already been done.

    FF7 8-bit, in Chinese.

It exists, search for it :)

    DuckDuckGo! =D

  • someone should make this into a game if they havent already

  • I was bummed when i didnt see any 8 bit omnislash badassery

  • this game would just kick ass no matter what....it's possibly the greatest creation known to mankind...I will never be able to get over how epic it is.

  • There's a lot of errors in this, such as the number of colours used in almost all of the graphics...

  • Oh my gosh、fantastic! well done!

  • i would have still played it

  • this is cool, but i don't think anyone would have the patience to play this because there would be a lot of the same picture over and over. :( patience

  • Okay, I can't express it enough this video was kickass. =D

  • Aerith's theme is so beautiful in 8-bit.

  • still better then the LEGEND OF DRAGOON....

  • Funny stuff! I love the 8-bit music. Some parts make you want to rip out your ears.

  • hahaha absolutely fantastic!!! well done!

  • good work indeed but thank god it didnt come out in 87 lol

  • This is very impressive work

  • They never made another in soviet russia because in soviet russia, the 1st fantasy was final.

  • How many cartridges does it take to get to end game? One.... two... three thousand *chomp*... The world may never know.

  • @Menarus The many discs accounted for the pre-rendered cut-scenes and all, if cut scenes were just pictures it wouldn't take up that much cartridges....maybe 100 minimum.. :P

  • @Menarus it's over 9000!

  • @Menarus it would take 7,725 Atari 2600 cartridges.

  • @blahblahoww123 ouch that would truly suck lol

  • in soviet russia...they already have ff7 remake and ff20

  • This will make an 8 bit console smoke. to many colours.

  • @Spacefrisian this did come out on an 8 bit console. This was made for North Koreans who didn't have the PS1 ... so game makers made a bootleg copy for the NES (which was still the main console over there) and sold it off as the real thing.

  • @Spacefrisian actually my mistake was the wrong vid I clicked on ... but there is an FF7 made for the NES if just type in FF7 nes.

  • Those cutscenes look more like a Sega Genesis game than a NES game. Specifically, Phantasy Star II. (Phantasy Star II has a lot in common with FF7... including having a party member die halfway through the game.)

  • I love these graphics even more.

  • GOD REST IN PEACE AERITH

  • well done! gotta love that 16 bit! and the music is superbly done too!

  • Heheh

  • epic

  • Would the game come in 4 different cartridge as well?

  • @UniVerseCell 3 actually

  • @UniVerseCell dude ff7 came dvided in 3 cd, not in 4

  • @Deathbringer99699 Ooops that was the biggest typo I have ever made, haha xD

  • You actually had him called "Safer Sephiroth?" Lolz

  • god damn, now I have to play ff7, and I let my drum teacher borrow it a couple months ago....

  • it sounds and like pc game

  • Pause at 0:50. LOL still says 1997.

  • The only good thing about it would be that cloud does not look malnourished

  • Wow! *q*

  • actually theres a NES version around.

  • FFVII was originally meant to be for the SNES, but then Nintendo thought they had to upgrade to 3D, like everything else. Because of their lack of knowledge on the subject, they sold out all rights of Final Fantasy to Sony, that's why we only have remakes on Nintendo handhelds. To be honest, now that Nintendo is super badass with the Wii U being released, Nintendo should go back to their roots and make a new Final Fantasy game, with a good story and not 1000 years in the future or something.

  • epic

  • I never realized how annoying an NES soundfont could be... Great job though! Aren't we lucky to live in a world of CGI nowadays?

  • 2:56 Cloud sings along with Aeris' theme *is shot for laughing at his perfect lipsync during sad scene*

  • ff7in 1979

    <Sethiroth stabs Aerith

    < PLAYER: Fuck you

    < text not found, retype

    FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

  • @postnjam Trollputer

  • If FF7 would've been made 10 years earlier, it would more than likely have been released on PCengine aaaand possibly on 1989 or 1990 due the reason for it to be released on CD.

  • @Bastiest That defeated the point of 10 years ealier :P

  • @ThatMellon Not really, considering that people wouldn't have had patience play through this game in arcade.

  • @Bastiest Ever heard of the Nintendo Entertainment System?

  • @ThatMellon Is it something to eat?

  • @Bastiest Dont be daft, it was made by SEGA.

  • @ThatMellon Food, NES or PCengine?

  • @Bastiest I dunno, completly lost what this conversation was about, i think i'm gonna say food...? Maybe...

  • There was a FF7 for the NES system, but I think the way you envisioned yours and how you made yours feel and the look is better suited, rather then how it was for the NES system.

I'm not sure if any of you knew that there was a FF7 for the NES. Just stating that there is one.

  • Cool! One change I would think of, unless it violates something, is at 0:48 when showing the the FF7 logo change the copyright to 1987 to fit your 10-year earlier vision.

  • @konkakonkadudu Yes, you are right, it should have said '1987'. It was a rushed mistake I made.

  • @motakay i kinda feel sorry for cloud though he had potions right? cause those soldiers were whoopin his ass! lol

  • @motakay lets just say it´s for the Gameboy then xD

    lookin interesting :)

Hey? If you like Reallife Stuff, maybe i can lead you to my Channel, where you can find Ignition GO! . My Own Reallife RPG im making. We were having a winter break but we´ll continue working on this. So why not give it a try and watch it :)

    Crub Ashe aka blacksnake

  • @konkakonkadudu i was born in 87

  • I liked Sword Quest 2, which graphics were worst than that (which isn't so bad), so... "me hubiera gustado" anyway (I can't remember how to say in english ^^u ). But, I'm happy it were made in the time it was made.

  • That is totally amazing! im definitely going to check out that patch on reason, well done!

  • @Am3nBreak I think you should, it is really authentic and awesome. I found it here: re-wiki DOT com/refill/nes-setup/

  • NICE but one thing.... why does the train look like a penis with dog ears XD

  • @Arredracus LOLOL XDD

  • All your lifestream are belong to Sephiroth

  • The original took 3 discs; this is gonna take a few cartridges.

    ^_^

    Thanks for the great share!

  • A 10 years later version would have been good too , even if we already have AC :3

  • Mmmm 8-bit goodness! Loved the remakes :)

  • Barret had lucky 7's!

  • Awesome vid dude, great job.

  • Nicely done! The only criticism I have is that the frame where Sephiroth is stabbing Aeris is a little early, you probably should've had a transitional frame with him in midair. Without that it looks like he kind of just magically appeared behind Aeris. Beyond that one little thing, this is a great job!

  • The graphic still miles ahead of Tibia.

  • Is there any video of "FF7" on the SNES???

  • The only problem is, if this is 10 years earlier, it should be 1987 on the opening video. I know I'm a troll *troll facing* XD

  • why the scene where aeris die??? whyy?? this makes me sad again =(.

A Gold Saucer clip wouldn't be so sad...

  • This video is very underrated. Loved it =)

  • too many colors for NES. more like it's for SNES, but that came out in 1990, should be FF7 If Seven Years Earlier.

  • it is true, the story of FFVII was established ten years or more than from now

  • it was pretty cool idea, but i do have one critique... in first fight with the soldiers, cloud's name shouldn't be there; that's where the ex-soldier belongs. i don't quite remember what the opponents' names were, probably guard A & B or something like that.

  • I love the Bombing Mission theme!!! <3.

  • I think was made FF7 such a hit was that it was the first FF game in 3D and the first JRPG to set the standard for all later 3D JRPGs of that generation for ps1, N64, etc

basically it being a first of the important few, if some other game had done it before FF7 was made then it wouldn't have been as great tho still good in most areas

  • Ahahahaha, 2:10 totally reminds me of Kuso Miso Technique.

Besides the derpy eyes, (mostly Aeris), really nice job. What instrument set were you using?

  • DAYUM BITH GOT SHANKED :3

  • i would totally play this game!

  • idk if i would have played ff7 if it were made 10 years ago lol but then again if it came before psx yea

  • hahahahaha, nicely done LOL

  • if final fantasy 7 would have come to the nes, it would still have great cinema displays, good story and prolly would pwn any polystation3 and dustbox 360 games

  • LOL at one winged angel music!

  • thats awsome!

  • it should be black and white.. but other than that great. the comment is only made because of the time it would have been made

  • @killingblair Colour tvs have existed since the early 70s at least. The very first FF game was released around 1987 (maybe even earlier) and was in full colour. I think you're way off the mark there.

  • the funny thing about the first scene when the train stops... is that it looked almost exactly like that. lol. the first time i played ff7 i forced my mom to watch, "Check out these sweet graphics!" I had her hooked until she seen them debark the train and she never looked back...

  • OMG THIS IS AWESOME!!!

  • If this is what graphics would of looked like 10 years ago, I wonder what the first Final Fantasy would of looked like

  • The intesity O.O.......

  • oddly enough..i could see this game like this if they stuck with the previous styles...maybe alittle more detail but extreamly close XD

  • This is just me knit picking, but shouldn't the title logo say '1987' if it was made ten years earlier?

  • Incredible work ! You truly are a great fan. Congratulation !

  • wow ff7 on nes wish this was for real.

  • Just goes to show that it's all in the timing

  • you are really great :D remarkable

  • ....i may have actualy FINISHED ff7 if it was done like this.. XD

  • You WIN! OH MY GOSH

  • You WIN! OH MY GOD

  • pokemon!!!!

  • Fund it.

  • hahaha awesome the one winged angel song :D

  • @cyc01 I'm glad you liked it. That song was the whole reason I did this movie. To make one winged angel 8-bit style. The images where just made quckly so that people would have something to look at while listening. :)

  • oh my! thats awesome lol

  • i would have played it :D

  • they look like cavemen

    o.o

  • final fantasy 7 10 years on after loads of requests for a remake of FF7 square enix decide to do the intro of FF7 with ps3 graphics as tech demo or something (bit of a piss take)

  • Made ten years earlier but still copyrighted in 1997. That's bound to make some copyright lawyer's head asplode.

  • LOW BUDGET FILM o.O

  • @dandysproject It was acctually made with now budget at all...

  • @motakay To be honest, that was fantastic, both art-wise, and music-wise. Although, those graphics look more 16-bit in the scenes. Great 8-bit stuff in the fights, though.
