How do you do that to switch workspaces? I'm running on Ubuntu 10.10 so if you could reply to this message that would be great. What I mean by that is that what are you using to switch from the workspace with wow to the one with wow wiki. Thanks!
@madeathome09 Open Jocky and add you Nvidia or Ati hardware (look up guides to be specific). Then go to Ubuntu software center and download both WINE and Playonlinux. Follow the directions on Playonlinux from here on. Now here is were it gets tricky. Click on the launcher and click play (lol). I know your comment is 1 year old but I hope I helped.
@madeathome09 cool I just screwed up the grub bootloader so I reinstalled Ubuntu 10.04 then 10.10. But this time I am trying to install wow with the cds and dvds ( i used the download method)
i dont understand why people with linux make it look like macs, you could have it personally exactly how you want it (granted if thats like a mac fair play) personally i think get osx if you want a mac.
ubuntu is not better than macs in my opinion, it falls apart in the fact it has very little pro grade software...as an idea i love linux but practically theres little to no use for me
its not illegal to do it you just break their terms and conditions meaning you wont be covered or get any support....but then why would you?
sorry ill reiterate no native software i know you can use wine, but that isnt allways as straightforward as just installing the app and having it work out of the box
