I would have to side with Sheldon on this one... though it is true neurobiology may be associated with the very perception of reality, that reality exists outside of our perception regardless of whether or not any of us are perceiving it. Though it is true none of us could perform research in physics without perception, a suitable analogy would be ranking the earth as hierarchically superior to the universe based on the same premise.
She treats Sheldon exactly like Sheldon has treated everyone else for years. Completely dismissive and egocentric. Sheldon is getting a bit of his own medicine. I was surprised at the quickness of the breakup but still glad. I don't like her. . . One Sheldon is enough.
Is it just me or do they say "Clark Maxwell" when they almost certainly mean Clerk Maxwell, as in James Clerk Maxwell. In that case, why do they even include the Clark/Clerk? Why not just say Maxwell? He is the same Maxwell of Maxwell's equations and Maxwell's demon.
I love love love TBBT, but one of my observations:
It's kind of weird to watch these cafeteria scenes, because in almost all of them, the actors never actualy eat anything. So the whole scene is spent with them playing with their food. Because the audience knows it's fake food, it's kind of silly to watch them having to do actions to avoid concentrating on their food.
I wonder if the crew/caterer can't have refrigerated cold noodles, etc, so they actually eat throughout the scene...
I fail to see how Physicists trying to find the theory of everything (including neurobiology, mind you), are not as important as a bunch of Biologists trying to figure out how the brain works.
I am with Amy on this one. Who cares about finding the grand theory of everything - when we don't understand even the details of how, for example, the brain works. Just because we understand how atoms behave down to the level of quarks doesn't really contribute to our understanding of biology and the natural world that is around us. I would argue that both are equally important and would theoretical physicists stop being/feeling that they are unlocking the secrets of the universe.
Well eventually, whether it be in 2 days, or 2 thousand years, we will eventually come up with the theory of everything.
That being said, if Physicists were to suddenly take in the idea that their work is not bringing them any closer to finding the secrets of the universe, then what is the point of continuing? We do this work for a reason - to bring us closer to finding the secrets.
Although at times it may seem that our work is failing, it's just showing more ways NOT to do it.
My Version:Lol
Sheldon:"Greetings,I brought Amy-"
Howard:"SHUT UP!!Nobody likes Amy!"
Sheldon:"Yea,your right!"(Looks at Amy!"It's over."
Amy"Ugh"(Flicks the bird @ Sheldon,and stomps off."
Sheldon:"Thank Atoms,I thought she would never skidattle." Lol hope you like :) -3

The worst thing is that when I saw this scene for the first time, I was almost as offended as Sheldon. :-D
No matter how much I am fascinated by the study of the brain, without physics It wouldn't go far.
